Symptom of disturb tappet

I have a civic 97 and it gets shut off when i change gear and i hear a sound of tik tik on high accelerations and the car shuts off occasionally in the middle of the road.

Gosh...car turning OFF suddenly in the middle of the road can be disastrous....!!! whts more ...u r from the same city i live in...!!! mercy..!!!!

today by the grace of allah i got my car checked with a computer and the problem was the main relay of the car and now it got changed for 800rs and now no shut off in the middle of the road.

But the tik tik voice mechanic told me that it is of the distributor cap.what u think guys is it true or not.do tell
