I'm just not ready to get into the whole mess of fixing up a W5X tranmission. Here's why:
1-The bell housing would need to be fabricated and perfectly aligned. Adding 1 more unwanted weak link to the powertrain.
2- Then the weight issue; it's heavier than a T50.
3- Then the hunt for a proper clutch within reasonable price, I've also read you would need to fabricate a clutch for it. Same cycle would repeat when replacing the clutch.
4-I would then need a much much stronger diff too because the diff would be the weakest point in a 4A-GE+W58 conversion.
5-Then the problem with the transmission tunnel.
So to me, there are more cons than pros.
