TCL Vs. Changhong Ruba - Looking for 50" LED

TCL is far better than other available cheap chinese or local LCD/LEDs.

But TCL also has some cons:
1- TV is too much slow
2- Golive doesn't work
3- picture is lil blur and not crispy as compared to samsung
4- youtube inbuilt app usability is crap.
5- TCL app for mobile is crap too.

Using TCL 55inch LED SmartTV. Anyone who updated TCL software?

I am using crome cast with it as smart features are useless in tcl, but channel lag is unbearable.

I got a Ecostar 50" non smart TV couple of weeks back and very happy with it, i personally think smart even on the high end tv's is nothing but crap when you compare it to media boxes such as Roku, I have a Roku 3 attached with my TV and it's awesome

Slaam all i was planning to buy 32 Led but confused between Tcl n chenghong Ruba. Is it better to buy chenghong Ruba smart led or tcl 32 simple ... Is there any way to convert simple Led to wifi n andriod .. Need sincere suggestions thanks

i am interested to buy a 40" LED TV for newly bought playstation. Main usage will be gaming, youtube or channels thru internet & movies.
want some better results for cable channels as well.
So advise me which Tv would be better.
Sony 40"W652D is in mind & i like it too.
so plz give ur suggestions.

I have purchased go live 2.0 tcl 40" from jambo.pk during there sale and it cost me 29500rs, go live feature is useless to be honest. Better to buy plain 32" tcl led at 19k and get one chrome cast for 4k you will have smart tv[emoji14]
1- you can connect any Internet through wifi

2- go live has youtube facebook and go live channels only four Pakistani channel available. Quality is good though.

3- its not android so you can't install any app on it.

4- youtube works fine though.

lets suppose golive not giving much channels for our requirement...
- we can have cable to attach to the same led tv. can also use tv box / tv tuner.
- we can use android device to share with led tv and run the channel apps from mobile.

hows my ideas?

Don't go for these so called smart features even LG and Samsung which make best TV OS suck in comparison to a cheap media box, you can make a kick *** media player with Raspberry Pi for under 15k which would be ages faster than any TV OS out there. Go for non smart non 3D model and save money. All these Chinese manufacturers makes almost identical panels just pick the one which suits your budget.

Smart tv option is pretty useless, there is significance channel change lag. Rest is ok no issue so far.

You will live with that lag, i can't tell you about Nayatell HD Box but the Storm Fiber HD Box i have have slight lag in changing channels but something i can live with

Well the colors are good, now i have seen ecostars in kfc and dunkin donuts they are using them for their menu's. They were looking great too.
Tcl changhong eco star all are using same panel. Just visit metro look all of them side by side pick one which looks best. All are reliable.

changhong is far better than TCL - they are using better panels than TCL , also there is an added feature of Enhanced Motion Rate in changhong which is absent in TCL , quality wise changhong is better and looks wise TCL is better .
If you want shashka buy TCL , if u want quality and personal satisfaction go for changhong . alhamdOLILLAH i have samsungs / sonys at my home and i m unable to feel any quality difference in VISION / SOUND when i m comparing both the brands with changhong !
In some cases i found changhong superior than samsung !
a brother was mentioning that it is like cmparing mehran with merc so there is a huge difference between mehran n merc in Horse power / luxury / base of th ewheels / safety etc ! but may i know what is the difference or what you KNOW about the technicalities of LED tvs ? if you really Do then you should tell the difference between changhong n samsung or was that just without base ?

So I am in the same dilemma. I have a budget of around 60-70k. Need to get a smart TV to watch cable, YouTube, stream matches and mobile screen mirroring.

Have shortlisted the following TVs so far. Would welcome any suggestions

TCL 49p2us. Has 4K and smart TV. But I have no idea of their software.

Samsung 49K5100 or LG 49LH590v. Full HD and smart TV. Reliable smart TV software but they are full HD only.

Samsung 43k7000. Has 4k and smart TV. But it's 43 inches. Would prefer a bigger size because the viewing distance is around 18 feet.

TCL 55inch led with chromecast. But that's just the last option.

With my budget I know I will have to compromise somewhere either in software, 4K or size. What do you guys suggest?

How is the sound quality of TCL as compared to Sony,samsung. I have an Orient LED at home and it has a pathetic sound quality, it sounds like a 2 number radio. Otherwise LG LCDs in my home have a pretty decent sound quality.

Thinking to buy a 55 inch LED ( basic one ) my sole purpose is Big screen. Do not need 4K, smart 3D as its a waste of money for me.

Sound quality isn't good on any chinese led/lcd and newer models of even branded lcds/leds sound like laptop what a laptop speaker can produce due to size restrictions on speakers in new ultra thin designs.

If you want good quality sound, invest in a good sound bar which will cost you around 25-35k, it'll improve the look of led setup and provide a much richer experience and a good soundbar's life is more than it'll take to break 3 leds. It is for everywhere you can't go for a full fledged home theater setup.

So if sound quality is more or less same then I should go for TCL I guess.

I am unable to spot a difference in the picture quality of chinese gs branded.

The main difference was the sound quality atleast in LCDs.
