I dont know how you people liked it or what... but to me the crowd was bluddy awful and the police guards there were worthless... they couldn't clear any space! The cars were supposed to be checked since morning and line was to be done by 3pm.. a little delay would've been fine but waiting 20 mins before each drag.. clearing crowd off the start off point after every drag was a disaster.... The arrangements however were very good... surprisingly good i should say.. the rail sidings on the track.. ambulances.. fire brigades..
The cars, however for some reason didnt show up.. there were many many lesser cars than my expectation.. last time there were many more participants.. i dont think there were any major cars from isloo.. Adeel Shah visited from isloo, he was so disappointed to see the show, he left when the cars were doing test runs..
However the people with good cars but who didn't participate in the race and the people with normal daily use cars, they did put up a very good show.. atleast it was fun to watch.. we got to see something happening.. main show was too slow.. was getting boring to sit in sun and waiting 15 mins before next drag... but the drags on side and burnouts and power sliding.. attempted donuts.. they made the day for me atleast.. i barely saw 3 drags and watched the sideshow for the rest of the day and trust me people it was worth seeing..
however i could hear the commentator all the time, "jab tak aap log area khali nai karen ge agli race nai hogi".. "red bull walo koi nazr-e-karam commentary stand pe bi ker lo".. lolz.. bhai send some guards with management to kick some butt of every jacka$$ who isnt clearing space...
Kher overall, lahore got a good show after quite a time..
