Shangrilla, Skardu. Lovely place. The only place that's relatively easy to get to by air with family in the Northern Areas.

I think this was from the famous PIA air crash of many years ago now. The owner of SHangrilla, found the rubble and reassembled the plane as a tourist attraction. Some of the gang however insisted that I tell everyone that this is the way we got to Shangrilla

As you have said all along and I wouldn't want to take away anything from your skills or efforts while capturing & processing these gems, its indeed the natural beauty & loads of it that makes your job that much easier.

For those of us who have been fortunate enough to visit these places personally, these awesome pictures turn the flicker into raging desire of going back again & again.

I last went to this part of the world in 2006 & hopefully next summer will be reprise

I cannot thank you enough for going through a large part of the thread. Its become pretty big, so any one who is able to cover any ground is a person who is motivated enough. You've been through enough obviously, since you are speaking "Jayish", Team Unimog's official language, this is where we have "viched" English, and Urdu, and Punjabi and come up with something new

That being said, the better part of your reply is your appreciation. On behalf of TU, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for your kind words.

It really is a beautiful place. And I'm sure it was more beautiful in 2006 when it was further untouched. I have to say though that we hit the nail on the head when we chose the dates for travel, I haven't seen the area so lush and green before, the weather was also perfect.

Great that we have been acquaintances before. I look forward once again to meeting with you.
