Though I am using the MB original pump and mog converted to electric fuel pump and havenât been troubled yet, but still I am not in the favor of removing the old and gold lifti pump which I miss in winters and also on high altitudes. One of the major reason is simplicity and reliability of liftiz, the engine runs without any electrics which one of the biggest advantage every off-roader looks for and liftiz keeps on pumping diesel (except one occasion while on decline from Butogah Pass :'() you can keep a spare one and it would never turn you down.
Whereas for electric fuel pump, it is tough to find a non-chinese 24V brand-new pump under Rs. 10,000/-, 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] disadvantage is the increase in dependency on i) alternator, ii) batteries and iii) 100 wires running in your mog which have the complete authority to drain your batteries whenever they feel hot.
The biggest one is Unimog cold starting, on lifti pump BeeMog never needed heating to start up and it was half-sulf. It still half-sulf but it requires a heater to burn the fuel pumped inn by the electric pump for 20 sec before hitting the sulf, I donât know why this change occurredâŚ(A)
