Telenor franchise

OP, Ill be honest with you. Telenor doesnt just give a license to sell its contracts to anyone. They want well capable and successful and business minded people. Telenor doesn't just say "hey we are thinking about opening another franchise in this particular area, anyone who comes first will get the license". No, they will give their license to the best suitable guy preferably someone who already owns a franchise and believe me, most people who buy more franchises are the ones who already have quiet a few. Instead of looking into this, open up your own cell phone stores and hire two or three guys that can fix phones, computers and laptops.

Just to update further on this issue,Its now 3 weeks and haven't heard from Telenor yet,so still waiting to see what they will do.

Read my above post. They wont give you any franchise. Chances are someone who owns 10 to 15 stores has already recieved a message from telenor congratulating him for choosing telenor.

My entire intention is to bring this in public domain so people know what to expect from Telenor or similar business and what may happen if they apply for one. As for there criteria mentioned in Application ad is concerned i well meet that criteria, But the way its been handled it seems fishy to me, And yes you may be right they have probably chosen a guy who is already doing business with them and have made some in roads in company management as well, So he may get priority.
What really irritated me is they charge Rs 15000- for application processing fee and don't even get a reply or acknowledgement for it either, So for Rs 15000- you don't even get some courteous business manners either.
As for your other suggestion is concerned I been there done it and cant be bothered to do it again.

Hi 'mujh92'. I am also interested in a Telenor Franchise, but in Azad Kashmir. Do you have any further information on commission rates and if the company offers you any shares, etc. Any information shared will be greatly appreciated.

As i mentioned in my previous post I did not get any information from Telenor regarding how they operate or what percentages or incentives they offer, So all my information are based on second hand knowledge. I been told percentage is 25 over all per year.
So you may able to figure this out.As for as i am aware most big cities are covered in Azad Kashmir, But out of curiosity where ever you are planing is it big enough for 2 if there is one already there?

In my case if I am hoodwinked and don't get a reply from them say for another month or so I may ask them to refund money they charged for application.

I have spoken to a person who already own a franchise with Telenor and what he has said to me is all this telenor franchise advertisement and process is sham and only some one who has made good connections with in the company and has bribed them will get franchise and every one else will hoodwinked by asking them to come for an interview and then told not selected. In my case I was not even given the opportunity of interview either.
I will keep you guys posted if and when I learn more about this franchise issue.
