I'm actually amazed after reading this thread. On just how long it is on machismo, and how short it is on substance.
Brother (the Original Poster): we all would LOVE to see a 1200 bhp car on the roads. All of us. It would make us very proud indeed. When I actually saw the title to the thread, I hurried over here to see for myself. Yes. I was THAT excited to see it here. And after reading it, I am very disappointed, indeed. Please, do not act like the "genius" who built that water-powered vehicle. Let us not see your dialogues, let us see concrete plans. Let us see deliberate methodical thinking, along with timelines, resources, and plans for action.
Upping horsepower is theoretically easy, but practically extremely difficult. The RX8 with it's small capacity Wankel engine, with 230-ish bhp is fairly difficult to handle when thrashed around. I drive a 300 bhp '65 Impala (powered by a 1UZ-FE VVTi), which, despite its tons of weight, is even more difficult to handle, even in a straight line (as old cars usually are). 1200 bhp from a 2JZ-GTE is doable, yes...but you had better stop flying to the moon and sit down and plan, rather than resort to cliches and platitudes.
And for heavens' sake, stop thinking we hate you. We generally just hate loud-mouths, braggards, and people who insult our intelligence. If you are not one of them...we will actually like you, and encourage you.
