I had 1990 yamaha yb-100 since day 1 that I enjoyed a lot. I sold it in June 2012. It was in its original condition. I just myself changed the 0 number ring once, and its real mudguard and silencer was also replaced with the new one. No doubt about the 2-stroke performance. I used-to beat cg-125s on murree road due to its initial torque, road grip, suspension and good braking, but its a fact that two stroke motorcycles make a lot of mess and are history now.
Its too difficult to maintain as compared to a 4-stroke. Brand new or old one, it will always give a lot of smoke. Look at the silencer muffler and how its cleaned by chottas by burning it and using patri inside the silencer.
I think its time we should stop using it. I am also against the car drag races or any such activity that burns the tyres and give white/black smoke and make the environment polluted unnecessarily.
