That indeed seems to be the case. I ended up paying almost twice as much for a true sine wave Inverex veyron 1.2kW inverter.

Wish I could go with a 2.5kW unit but they were out of stock everywhere i checked

Can i please know if K-Electric adjusts units monthly or quarterly?
And if quarterly, does it take 3 months if net meter is installed in May or will the units be adjusted in June?

Quarterly. Units should be adjusted in June but do not know for sure, have a friend in a similar situation.

Why did you upgrade to pylontech? I have Infini 10KW inverter which doesn't support RS-485 or CAN. Narada uses RS-232 protocol which is supported by my inverter, and Narada battery is cheaper as well.

My inverters bms wouldn't connect via RS 485 with Narada. Advised to change to pylontech but bms still did not work. Might change the inverter later as I've exhausted all options.

Overall I'd say if you're getting a fresh / genuine piece, Narada is much better than other local lithium counterparts.

Which inverter do you have? Are you having any issues with using lithium battery without using communication port?

Overall I'd say if you're getting a fresh / genuine piece, Narada is much better than other local lithium counterparts.

How has your experience been using Narada vs Pylontech? Narada is around 60K cheaper, but dealer said only 3 year warranty

Solarmax PV6000+. Tried everything to make it work, no luck. I'd like to dispose off this inverter later anyway and move towards a maintenance free IP65 system. Have to clean air filters on this one.

The Pylontech is a beast - very obvious difference in build quality. I'd call it the Mercedes Benz of batteries (I know there are better batteries out there) but holds true for us based in PK.

If you can stretch the funds, go for Pylontech otherwise Narada is a very good alternative. All the best!

We have 10KW hybrid inverter and as per Pylontech UP5000 specs, recommend discharge is 50A (2400VA) and max 75A (3600VA). Whereas, Narada 100AH has max discharge current of 100A (4800VA).

Our load on inverter is usually 1500W since ACs are not running on inverter but rest of the house is (basically TV, fans, lights, fridge etc). To me it seems like Narada would be a better option as it can do max discharge of 100A, but not sure if its inflated number and sustained 100A is okay for several minutes - e.g. if someone inadvertently connects a high powered appliance to output.

Did you try placing large load on both batteries?

For your useage even pylontech will be fine. The max load I've probably put on both batteries is 3.5kw tops with no issues.

I have 2 kw PV support during the day which is when I'm more liberal with consumption otherwise at night i do not cross 1.8kw load to maximise back-up time.

Do note my hybrid inverter only works during power failure.

I have a 6.4 kwh Nitrox hybrid inverter connected with 6000W panel. I nice to see how it reports production / consumption and grid energy usage. Its connected with 4 Osaka 185AH tall tubular batteries. How much backup can we expect with these batteries if I want to use battery power during PEAK rates in IESCO 6PM-10PM in May. My usage during that time is around 1.3kwh.

Backup time depends on load and keep in mind that Lead acid batteries should not be discharged to lower than 40% remaining charge, as it severely impacts its life.

Installers in Pakistan, don't set battery charging/discharging parameters correctly, resulting in early battery failure.

i need recommendation for a 5500- 6000 watt hybrid inverter with backup support for shortest service turn around time.

Inverex / Fronus / Growatt /Solax - these are already under use but their service turn around time specially during summer is 3 - 5 working days. What other choices we can have in a sub-urban location of Karachi.

How about having two smaller units in parallel configuration (though I'm not sure if its possible to connect smaller units in parallel) so that even if one is faulty you can still use the other one as standalone. I still regret buying 12KW 3 Phase hybrid (Inverex). Should have bought 2x 5KW or 2x 6KW because if a fault develops then I'm basically without any backup until it's fixed.

The 12kw inverex inverter you have is awesome. In Karachi, a 3phase inverter is mandatory for net metering (otherwise 3 inverters in parallel).

Upgrade to a lithium battery for daily use during peak hours. Higher cycles and can be drained 90-95% without affecting battery life.

Narada / Pylontech are the top performers in local options.

Thats' true got a deal in Karachi with distributor on saturday noon got 550 watt Longi Halfcut mono for 47000 a piece, made a 2 pallet deal. got delivery at 10 pm. Truck with crane charged 10,000 for delivery. am sure retail must be at Rs. 90+ / watt

Has anyone tried bi-facial panels? what the max output you get? on regular panels I get max 78% output on a good day (clear sky, temp in 20s/early 30s).
