Hello respected members,
i need recommendations on below.....

1. Best UPS for 1.2 KWH load.
2. Best possible lithium batteries setup preferably upto 2KWH.

my current shortlisted products are SIMTECH 1.2 KWH UPS and lithium battery pack 2.0 KWH from power pack company.

Please recommend and suggest based on your experiences.

as per simtek website, they only have 1200 VA inverters or above...

1200 VA is NOT equal to 1200 Watts...

go with inverex 1.2 KW inverter. it is actually 1.2 KW with power factor of 1.0. and pure sinewave.

they do have 2000 VA inverter.

its a 24 volt inverter. you need two 12 volt batteries...

the inverex 1.2 kw is 12 volts. needs only 1 battery. and has a longer warranty as well.

then i will need 12v lithium batteries setup as well. mostly are 24V and above.

i have been using phoenix tx2500 tall tubular with 1.2kw inverex for past 3 years with no issues.

for this small setup, lithium batteries are too expensive..

if you want to go 24 volts, then again go for inverex 2.4 kw inverter. it will provide you with more power for the same battery pack.

2.0 KWH lithium battery is around 150k and SIMTEC 1.2 KWH inveter is fro 45K.
Total cost appx 200k.

Inverex and phoenix battery setup cost around 170k.

Not much of a difference i suppose.

whats the LESCO/NEPRA policy on upsizing solar panels? I'm goin from 5kw to 13kw, our sanctioned load is 11kw and current nepra license is for 5kw system.

Talk with your installer. I think you can safely upsize with that sanction load

i have changed my mind from SIMTEC to INVERX 2.5 KW as its a better option as suggested by you.
Now I need to finalize 24V battery. Still evaluating lithium battery from power pack and phonix tx 2500 * 2.

Guys my 1.2kw Inverex Veyron 1 can no longer cope with my new PC even if its on IDLE. While my PC + TV is turned on and light goes out, the Veryone just kills power to whole house (probably due to overlaod) so its a pain to restart it and then turn on all appliances again. The inverter has some stupid limitation where you have to turn it off, wait 5 mins and then turn it back on for it to resume power supply again.

So I'm thinking of upgrade to 2.5 or 3.2kw inverter now. Local market wala quoated me 180k for Inverex Veyron II 3.2kw. Should I go with that or is there a better brand or model you would recommend?

Also, i spent like 120-125k on my current 1.2kw veyron plus the tall tubular battery (osaka 180). I don't think I can sell that for much? I'd need to buy new batteries as well I think as the veyron II is dual battery setup.

I'm not attaching any panels right now as I'm in an apartment but in future I'll use panels with it if I move to a house.

sir @AbbasJin Hybrid inverters upto 4.5 kW are based on 12 x 2 ( 24volt DC) 6 kW & above required 12 x 4 (48volt DC). please carefully select the inverter. Inverter capacity shall be 50% or more then then maximum running load. Otherwise no matter what the inverter will beep or shut down. Exide Tubular Batteries are at top of the list by system integrators, Pheonix & Osaka follow the lead.

would you recommend a particular inverter brand/model in 3.2kw range? i'm not using solar panels for now and wll use battery only but in future I might attach panels when I've roof capacity.

sir @AbbasJin am not versed with brands. Crown Goodwe & Growat inverters are around my location in Karachi. however please discuss with dealers'. also check for compatibility with your requirement and batteries. as well as software version year built into system.

a friend is using 2 KW Fronus (2018 model version V1.21) with a 12 Vx 120 amp truck battery charging is vis 4x 350 watt panels. It is replacement of UPS.

Inverex Veyron highly recommended. I was using 2.5KW model and it was very reliable. Sold it to a friend and he is still using it. (Almost 3 years old now) and still going strong. I would recommend 3.2kw version as it also offers a lot more customisation (e.g it has both SBU and SUB option, so that would be helpful if you decide to attach panels later on). I would also recommend connecting maybe 1/2kw worth of panels so that at least during the day you're not using the battery during load shedding (save battery cycles).

Any idea about circuit breakers that can detect leakage current/prevent electrocution specially in water applications.

I’ve heard ELCB is old technology and also requires a ground connection.

But what if there’s no ground available.

RCCB breakers seem to be the thing but are they available anywhere in Pakistan? Good ones. And will they work if we install without ground specially for electric geysers.
