I have no idea what 'A Grid Tie Mode' of an Inverter is. The knowledge I have is that there is a bi-directional flow of current in such special inverters that basically synchronize the frequency to the one of the grid. Also special safety features to disconnect supply in case of a electric failure at the Grid.

Its modified step sine wave but it can run almost all equipment without any damage. Pure sine wave PWM inverters are also available but their cost is three times that of modified sine wave and/or square wave inverters.

I dont think so....it will most probably destroy fan voltage regulators and other stuff just like any other ups/invertor system(other than perfect sine wave systems)...

AmeerUsman is right. Modified sine wave inverters are also safe for electrical appliances how ever pure sine wave is best one.

I also worked on Micro inverters but the lowest quote I received is for 200 USD for 200w panel. It's ex-work Taiwan price so I need to add shipment and custom clearance charges also. Sending power to grid works when inverter is in grid tie mode. I am using on hybrid mode so sending to grid is out of question.
But as per feedback from some other project owners some people get deduction bills from different distribution companies because of meter reversal when they use inverters in Grid Tie mode.

I have been looking into installing a solar setup in my home, but I have put it off for the time being because I would rather go with microinverters rather than a centralized DC inverter, although it would be more expensive, but the advantage is that you can start with a small setup and keep adding solar panels later. Installation is easier and it eliminates a lot of other parts that would be required with a conventional DC solar setup. Also individual output of every panel can be monitored and if output of one panel is low due to shading or some other reason, it does not affect the output of the entire setup.

Is there someone in Pakistan who is doing a solar setup with microinverters?
Secondly I am wondering why are you not using the inverter in grid tie mode, do you need special permissions from Lesco or is it for some other reason?

Even the inverters with square wave do not destroy anything because the square wave can be somewhat reshaped to semi sinosoidal by using a Snubber Circuit on the input (primary) of transformer. Furthermore, when Inductive load like fan etc. is used on these inverters then square wave also deforms, so no damage. At the end a capacitor of may be 1 uF 400V nonpolar, is used in parrallel with the load which filters more peaks in the output waveform of 220 VAC. Im using my personally designed Inverter of this type since quite a few years and no issue of any damage to any equipment is observed to date.
Please note that pure sine wave inverters are much much expensive than conventional inverters.

I cant understand one thing with micro inverters.

How would be merge all the power of the micro inverters to one place for further distribution? Like suppose i have 10 micro inverters of 200 watts each. Now I plan to run a computer rated 1000 watts how would i be able to supply 1000 watts?

^^You have to rectify the phase difference, synchronize and run in parallel. Each will act as a source.

It is possible for that kind of inverter to use a separate small serial bus for communication purposes..

Brother! Once I tried a circuit namely Bubba Oscilltor to generate pure Sine wave. This oscilltor circuit uses four op-amps and positive feedback. Unfortunately could not continue that due to limited time.
As far as Micro inverter is considered, to be honest I only thought of that but nothing more than that.
But according to my thinking, if we use 15 solar panels of same wattage (open circuit voltage of 20VDC) in series to make approx 300V DC then it can be converted directly to 220V AC using MOSFET H bridge circuit along with some PWM technique.

You will still need an inverter to convert the dc voltage of solar cells to ac !!!

Guys I have a homage 600 watt ups with phoenix battery. Loadshedding here is EXTREME and ups is not able to recharge the battery. Daily it gives up and I m left with himmat fan (hand fan)
Is it possible that I install a few solar panels. Some of the generated current can power a single fan and one energy saver. Rest can keep on charging the ups battery slowly so that I can have a full battery by the end of day. Is this setup possible? and what type of system is needed?

Yes it is possible. You can go for a small system with 12V 300 Watt solar panels and a 20A charge controller. You have to make or purchase auto shift switch in order to toggle between solar or wapda. Secondly if u dont want to go for this auto switch then make a manual two way switch to shift between wapda and solar energy. Hope this helps.
