If I have understood correctly then off-grid hybrid solar inverter combines energy from Solar panels and Utility and serve the load whereas off-grid inverter combines energy from Solar and Batteries, is it so?

Please also tell the price of 3KVA off-grid hybrid solar inverter.

Off grid, will use one source per output only, it will be solar, battery or utility only. During day you can program it to use solar only and charge batteries, program it not to charge batteries on utility and set a threshold after which it switches to utility in evening. and in case of power failure it will transfer to battery backup.

Prices range from 35k (PWM) to 50-55k (MPPT) depending on charger included, power of panels that can be connected and how much dc input voltage it can accept.

I am the second person in Rawalpindi Division to have applied and been awarded the Net-Metering License
of 11kW solar system. This is the third month that I am living without any electricity Bills so let me answer your question.

Basically, what you are referring to is an Grid Tied Inverter, which does not connects with batteries, uses the power from sun and powers the load at home whereas your condition is that you don’t want to send excess electricity back to the National Grid.

There are few inverters available in Market which comes along a Limiter such as GAIA Defender 2KW. It makes sure that electricity is consumed in premises and is not sent to the national grid and does not requires a battery bank.

Inverter was manufactured for countries such as German where government has not introduced net-metering or regulations does not allows you to send excess electricity back to the national
grid.

I would recommend an MPPT solar hybrid inverter and cost varies from 40k for 3kw system and 70k for 5kWatt system.

Off-Grid Solar Hybrid Inverters prices varies frm 40k to 70k for 3kw to 5kwatt systems. Dont confuse things,

Off-Grid Solar Hybrid Inverters powers your load and charges your battery bank during day time from sun whereas during night, its an ordinary UPS. You know what an ordinary UPS does, it charges from WAPDA.

if during the day time during cloudy day, sun is not sufficient then it borrows rest of the power from WAPDA to charge your battery bank and powers your load.

this borrowing features makes it a great controller.

Let me explain you, after reading your first paragraph, i think you just got the idea about On-Grid Solar hybrid Inverter's.

Features which you are asking normally comes in 5kWatt Infini V inverter and its cost is 115000/- this inverter has 6kWatt solar charge controller. if ever you are looking for such systems then Infini V is for you.

Better models in Infini inverters from voltronic power are infini Plus 3Kw, 5Kwatt and 10Kwatt models but they be more expensive.

Axpert VM is a great inverter but their is a new model in market which is Axpert VM II and this is an off-grid solar hybrid inverter and i have recently purchased one on behalf of a family member then cost is 43k.

Axpert VM II is an upgraded model of Axpert VM and best available in market.

A hybrid inverter manages load b/w Grid and Solar. If your load is 1500w and Solar output is 1000w, a hybrid inverter will take the extra 500w from grid. Hybrid inverters are much more expensive. A 3KW one is for 120k (infini solar). They also have an option to set grid-feedback to 0 if you don't have net-metering installed.

Off grid inverters completely switch over to grid if load is greater than solar output. The solar output only charges the battery.

Hybrid inverter is one that has a chrge controller and multiple inversion source that is solar, battery or solar plus battery, they are called off-grid hybrids

Ongrid hybrid are the ones that have the option of adding or load sharing
