We don't have solar energy at night so as soon as the sun sets the batteries will give only fours hours backup , what about rest of the night suppose we have electric breakdown for complete night like we had the other day. if you need electricity all night you need min 2kw solar system with heavy dry cell batteries. i use my solar system whole day and after sunset i use electricity to charge my ups

according to yamahayb100, per watt is 120-130rs.
What you have mentioned is around 5-6kw or so.

6000X130=780,000~700,000rs at 120/watt

if 3kva invertor is 100,000 , then perhaps 6kva could be 175,000.

So total for the system excluding ups for night time would be around 900,000 or 9 lacs.
After this is you add ups cost as well, it would cost a fortune lol...

So use this system at day time, at night time, use wapda and usual/average 1.5kw ups(no ac/fridge)...

not a single night will be in 9 lacs ..solar panels have 20 years warranty , with a 6kw solar system you can run a 1.5ton ac all night but you need a battery bank
a apc 2ndhand ups will cost approx 55k .
in the end i will say its cheaper coz in next coming years when the electricity tarrif will be double then you will need it

wind power is the cheapest way , it has 0 running cost, serves 363 days in an year out of 365, only needs 2 days for checkup n inspection, moreover we have a lot of wind power in the coastal ares like karachi, gawadar etc. Another way of utilizing the solar energy other than using a solar cell is to us the heat of sun. One can focus the sunlight at a point and can drive a thermocouple, a stirling engine or other such things. we hav a lot of energy but still we are suffering from energy crisis! what a gr8 country

In the pics you have uploaded your ups is on ac power? how come it is possible as you are getting the batteries charged from the solar so your ups should be on dc mode instead.
or you are using solar to power up up your ups??
please elaborate...

these pics are 30 min old you can watch the clouds in picture and in the ups pis you can also watch a changover switch
i switched to wapda coz there were no charging when clouds appear in normal days my ups works on solar power all the day

New policy will not apply to old netmetering connections until the contract expires. It's applicable on new ones only

I am not sure if this is the right place, but hoping to get some answers...
I recently purchased a tall tubular (phoenix) 185ah lead acid battery.. and connected to an old 660w UPS (Homage matrix 1001). After using battery to power my fans (at night) it takes about 9‐10 (sometimes more) hrs to charge completely… with charging current never going over 13.6 — 13.7 v. And when it stops charging the battery is at 13.7 v.
I opened up the dippers(water level indicators) and noticed they were turning black? What could be the problem..! Is it overcharging???

I am considering buying 12v 20amp charger, would that help. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Your homeage UPS charging is malfunctioning.
The battery electrolyte specific gravity needs to be checked.

Please remember UPS (is not an inverter with MPPT charging) and the charge current needs to be calibrated manually according to larger battery (ah) . please check you UPS manual and locate what is maximum battery AH it can handle for charge discharge at load. sir @pwuser165106410938
