@sammalik, Its installed this morning, So it will take few days to observe... But its small in size, silent and intelligent UPS with good charging speed...I consulted lot of people regarding that...There are two best options

1- Find some local UPS manufacturer who can provide you warranty and good support service. If you like I can refer a manufacturer who provide two year complete warranty of his UPS at home service. (economical Solution)

2- Go for some branded/company made UPS... An expert told me no brand remain constant, Every brand has some good and bad reviews... He advised to stay away from HOMAGE which has lot of complaints this season and have pathetic support. So options left APC (the real king), Systek and Cyberpower

  A) APC refurbished/secondhand American UPS... No.1 & no match in quality. But problem is: It require double UPS wiring and second draw back is there is no Warranty available.

  B) Systek provide free home delivery and installation service, They have standard model which are nicely built (smart & silent) plus they have proper complaint center and field staff and provide good support. Top banks in Pakistan use Systek in their branches

Batteries: This season experts are suggesting AGS/Phoenix Or Volta (which is short in market).

No matter from where you purchase UPS, Always make sure you get good support service.

PLZ DEFINE THESE OPTIONS BECOZ I BUY AXIOM HAX-1002 AND DIDN'T GOT ANY USER GUIDE OR MANUAL, I ALSO SEARCH ON INTERNET BUT I DIDN'T FOUNDOUT.... WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF "NARROW" AND "WIDE" SWITCHES???

brother i exactly dont know the purpose of these options but some posts back a fellow pakwheeler said about lcd that lcd will not blink while going on to the ups i get idea from this that ups will get the load immediately.

Been using Systek UPS for last 7 years now... initially i was using their 1000 VA (500 watts) UPS with 2 batteries + 1400 VA (700 watts) UPS with 3 batteries and now since last 3 years i am using their 3000VA (1500 watts) with 3 batteries + 1600 Va (800 watts) with 4 batteries.
My 7 years experience with them has been an outstanding one. I literally run everything except my fridge/Freezer/AC on them. They are pure sine wave, robust, resilient, well made, do not abuse batteries and with an excellent after sales service. i can go on and go on for hours but to sum it up "Their UPS are best bang for bucks".
I have relatives and friends who are using Hommage, Mercury and APC... amongst these only APC units come close to Systek. Homage and Mercury are good initially but do not last that long.
The biggest downside of Systek is their initial price. So about 4 to 5 friends of mine are using a locally made UPS by a guy called Asad. He has his own manufacturing set up near hall road and makes everything from scratch. Met him a few times as well, nice chap and knows all the basics as well as details of UPS. His products have also proved to be very reliable and in last few years i have yet to hear any complaints against him. The biggest plus about him is that you know his place and you simply take your UPS to him and he will have it perform like new within a few hours e.g. Last week a friend UPS failed due to a local electrician so we took him to hall road, went to anarkali and picked the UPS on our way back about 3 hours later.
Hence if i ever have to recommend a UPS i would say Systek or the one by Asad. no 3rd option for me.

Thanks for an excellent review. What happens when systek fails? How long do they take to repair and how is their aftersales service? We put in an Arora UPS last year, it broke down in a year, and again now its been with them for 20 days and they have just made excuses for delay!

firstly believe me that Systek UPS do not fail...it has always been me who was at fault...
Systek UPS have one year warranty and if you want you can then sign a AMC (annual maintenance contract) with them. They charge around 10K+/- (not sure) for it and are then responsible for rectifying any problem, repair or damage at your doorstep.
I have 2 incidents to share
First one was after 5 to 6 months of purchase when it turned out that the gauze next to the air inlet at the back of the unit was chocked with dust. since then i have purchased a blower and clean them every 3 to 4 months... just remove the battery plugs... open the 3 screws at the back to lift open the cover.. turn on blower... screw the unit back. all in 10 minutes for reliability of next 4/5 months.
second was in 2009/10 when my electrician had gone to his village and i brought in the so called expert electrician of the area... one of my washroom's light on UPS was not working. That idiot connected the wapda wire with the UPS wire which led to fire in the main circuit on the UPS and the main board had to be repaired by systek. I dropped it off to their office at around 9:30 am and picked it up the next day around lunch time. The price for repair was i guess 6500 Rs.

If you enter hall road from mall road then right after mobile market on your right side their is "ganda nala". immediately after the nala their is road on ur right side going towards biden road... take that road and after about 20 to 30 shops there is a small road on ur left side called Gali no 2 or street no 2... on that road wahab center is on ur right side... take the stairs going on the 1st floor on ur right side (Mubeen computers is opposite the stairs on ur left side).. the first shop on 1st floor is asad's shop. i don't know his full name but he is about 40++, mixed white hairs and is a slim guy. don't have his cell no here but if anyone wants it then PM me later and i can get it from one of his users...

This light is blinking since this morning... UPS is working like a charm...No low volttage or noisy fan issues.... Just that light annoys me....I called Systek guys, They said its normal.....You are using this brand since 5 years may be you can better explain this....Thanks

So far experience is very good....very smooth voltage, smooth switching and good backup time....Many of my friends using Systek and they all are satisfied....That light is blinking but UPS is functioning very well...No issue in back or charging....

I believe this post was directed towards me... if so then my answer is that the same light on my Excelsior series "ESC 303 / 1600 VA" (or similar ESC 202/ 1000 Va) is blinking for last 3 years at least. Never caused any problem. Some one in systek once told me that this just shows that the UPS can sense that it is connected to Wapda or batteries... whether i believe it or not is a different story
In short.. relax... you have bought a good machine... enjoy it...remember 3 things... unlike other UPS can put a load of exactly 800 or 500 watts on ur UPS... secondly keep the fan at the rear neat and clean... thirdly based on my experience its best if u don't put ur UPS unit in a warm and closed up space e.g. store... keep it somewhere where like lobby, under stairs etc...

I have a very bad experience with Systek. I bought two UPSs from them several years back. Both of them went bad within the warranty period. One UPS Excelsior series 1KVA broke down 6 times within the warranty period. Even after getting fixed, it did not work properly. During loadshedding it would work fine, but when the light came back on it would not switch to Wapda, instead it kept draining batteries until they were dead. I got so sick and tired of it, when the warranty period expired and it went dead, I did not bother taking it to them for repair. Systek is JUNK as far as I am concerned.

white angel... Bro as a rule of thumb i must and i have to accept and believe what you are saying... but as a satisfied systek customer i must say that this is simply unbelievable... i am so sorry to hear your loss and the anguish ..... which system are u using nowadays???
this also reminds me a story on bbc website a few days bac where a fed-up wealthy indian resorted to pulling his jaguars with donkeys rather than taking it back to show room. bad things happen even with one of the best brands

.. APC doesn't require double wiring just your normal single wire works
.. it has no effect on appliances when it switches
-- you can manually adjust it setting by downloading its software and hooking up with serial port on its back (haven't tried it yet )
.. it gives you the exact rated load
.. it consumes less power and gives better output due to better power factor
.. in lhr it is for 12000 and in pindi around 14000 for 1500va model
i think it is the best of them all
