• I have UPS (GHOTKI MADE) 1200 WATT named as MicroTech which I am not sure if its proper brand or just local made. But its heavy and not the china one you know.
• I have two Solar panels 150 watt each (German cell, written on it) bought last month JULY 2015 (7500, each)
• AGS batter 27 plates.

QUESTION 1

Why my UPS battery which I bought in Februry 2014 and its almost one and half year is too hot and its water is almost started boiling?
I mean its enough time period for a AGS battery that its done now?

It just started few days ago. So here I need to know how to check if my Solar panel, 1200watt UPS and 200F AGS battery configuration are correct? I found very dumb electricians here so please advise here how to make sure this.

Can be the problem due to over recharging? We have almost 8-9 hours light out of day in average and in day light I have two solar panels (total 300 watt). I am thinking that may be my configuration is not correct. May be its too over for batter?

I have attached the pictures to show how is my setup.

QUESTION 2

I have PWM controller for solar you can see in pics. It always or 90% shows the symbol which I found as LVD (low voltage disconnection). Does this mean my battery was not working fine since I installed solar? The PWM shows correct recharging signal once the electricity is ON and battery is being charged from both UPS and solar so after half an hour it starts to showing that solar is working now. So please tell is it correct installation to have 2 solar panels with 200F AGS battery?

In the end, please advise what to do with AGS battery? I kept its lid open all the time. Should I replace the battery? A

I use one celing fan, one DC fan and laptop and one light. I will appreciate much your help on this. I just want to understand that if my setup needs any correction.

1.5 years is the good time for battery life in our load shedding senario, may ur battery needs replacement but the thing is u r not using proper solar inverter for ur solar setup. these local made ups is not designed for solar setup ending up overcharging ur battery. use proper ups by axpert ,infini or homage specially designed for solar application and then check ur battery for its performance with this setup

local ups charger keeps charging battery even PWM solar charger cuts off charging since these desi chargers charge at comparatively higher dc volatage may be like 15VDC

Im sorry for the delay, Client just provided me with bill screenshot this morning.
The system (3Kw) was installed in February however the second phase was installed in April (3Kw), making it 6Kw.
As illustrated, the bill in July 2014 was 60,106 in which 20,000 was arrears which makes it 40,000.

Calculation

6Kw*6(Effective hours)= 36Units

36Units*30(Days)= 1,080

6Kw* 50%(Morning & Evening Hours)
3Kw* 3(Mornin & Evening)
9*30= 270

1,080+270= 1,350 Units

Now I'm not aware of the electricity charges.

I would like to add one thing here, Mr Zubair has smartly managed his daily chores, he does the ironing & washing clothes during the day which means the only load left for the night is fans and lights.

He has also installed a battery set which he uses all up until 8-9pm depending on the back-up.

I hope I have answered your questions. If there is any serious client, we can also provide Mr. Zubair's number. I now would like to request all of you who accused me of being 'Cheater' & 'Dhokay Baaz' to assess the situation before you accuse. Know the facts before shouting on someone.

diff of units consumed is 1097-712=385 units (b/w july 14 and june 15)
385/30=12.8 units
your 6kw system saves only 13 units a day
which is bad

we have to see the units diff not bill amount

1097 units ka bill maximum 23,000 ho skta hai. 40,000 kabhi b nhi ho skta. 37 rupees/unit kabhi suna nhi. bahria town k rehne wale confirm kr skte hn

23,000-12825=10,175 (saving per month of peak summer by 6kw system, afsos)

Hi friends. . I was looking for a system which can provide me power to run 3 fans nd some lights during day light only and it can connect my existing UPS..
I got 300 watts panels of A grade and LED solar charge controller 20 Amp and my battery is Narada 125 Acme series and UPS is homage. I am using system for more than a month and this system supply power from 7-6 and in good sunlight can even support 4 ceiling fans. Here are pictures. please share your experiences or comments. .if someone is using system like this

I have installed a 1.6kw system with MKS Plus Inverter. Customer using it in off-grid mode (no wapda input). Average Load 5oo watts per hour from 8am to 4pm (load increases to 1kw from hours 11 to 2pm). Estimated power usage is 500wx8=4000whr. equal to 4 units during the day. After 4pm loads shifted to wapda. From 4pm to sunset battery is charged by solar again without any loads and customer use this backup during power cuts after hours. Customer doesn't charge battery from wapda. Then again, in the morning load is shifted to Solar System.

With load management customer is saving on generator use as well. Current load shedding is about 6 hours. Customer uses generator occasionally for only 2 hours at night.

I have done the calculations on cost of battery back-up. It is much more expensive than grid and is not feasible at all. Some people rely too much on batteries, thinking that they are saving money, but they are actually doing the opposite. The cost per KWH of batteries is much higher than grid electricity. So priority should always be Solar, Grid and lastly batteries.

Take a deep breath and calculate it again. Units in july 2014 were 1097 while units in july 2015 are 435. Difference= 662Units. Now you must consider that he used to run Ac only at night before, however now he runs it throughout the day (On Solar) and also at all night, which means it never switches off. The result is nonetheless in front of you. If you still have doubts then you can further ask questions. I have even offered you guys to give you the client's contact information, lets see where that leads.

662/30=22Units

But, this is not the only factor because the client's use at night has also increased. He now runs Acs during the evening too, not just at night like before. So, we must consider that too.

then why the difference in june and july bills?

According to your own calculation of 662 units
662*13.29=8,798 (according to above tariff)

while you said the saving is 45k-10k=35k per month
according to your calculation saving is 1/4th
