C may be a poor man's merc but it still is better then our accords n camry etc which are considered a rich man's car in Pakistan
w140 truly is an elephant, n i can see the elephant just had a shower nice work sir, im glad u took out time for it.
n btw, which w210 was it? i can remember 2 dark colored w210s in Sargodha. one is black (ABT 173) n other is dark blue or grey. n i also saw a maroon w140 just 2 days ago, had 500 sumthing registration number. it seems people are finally begaining to understand the true luxury of these bit old but gold cars n are prefering them over local cars that are slowly gearing upto 3 million pkr price range.

had to take time out as it was way too dirty. i stopped at Sukheki service area and when i released the handbrake, the lever was so dirty that some dried mud came off and landed in my lap lol. silver will get the same treatment next week InshAllah.

that black w210 belongs to a friend. he owns a petrol pump there.

well, comparatively, it is... offcourse, due to our geographical reasons, we compare them with the Japanese cars that we drive everyday, which are much cheaper to maintain.

well observed. met a bad bad bump the night before this pic was taken. lil prob with control arm. actually this green beauty is used a lil too much

today's example; already done about 450km on her today and plan to do around 300km more. leaving for Vehari in an hour

I have repaired and maintained a great number of cars, the MB parts are equal to the japanese counterparts - im talking about real genuine parts, not made in a chinese ghetto replacement parts that flood the Pakistani market. It boils down to the technician fitting the parts and following procedure.

so what was it? spring perch? spring? bushings? - Those bushings are TOUGH as in heavy duty truck tough unless you slathered them in oil. I wont suggest driving like that - it can be highly dangerous if the arm is bent or damaged, the spring rests on the arm and if that lets go - the spring has enough force to dent the unibody really badly.

At least check the wheel bearing for play. loose bearings will eat out the brake pads and also the ABS sensor.

it was fixed right away brother. only drove back to the workshop. no oil was used ever. uploading a fresh pic taken just now for you. the car is ready to leave for another long journey tonight.
