they are being maintained brother. i am akeli jan and stuck in many pangas. mercs and my school, these are my passions.

apart frm that, i have a very wide social circle and have to give time to many.

keeping in touch and visiting village frequently and giving time to family is also my duty.

all in all i live a damn bzy life. Allah ki rehmat hy. People around me look up to me whether they are in trouble or just need company.

yes.. i sell merc parts...new and old as well. but these cars are complete cars. many of them have been sold. only silver w140 needs to be sold now and she will be up for sale shortly.

although the repair facility was available earlier as well but it had space and time constraints due to limited labor.

Alhamdulillah, the issues have been taken care of and work has started slowly. we have got a big big space to park and maintain cars now. professional people related to benz and bmw have been hired who have hands on experience of these cars.

some works are yet to be done. those include, shifting of spares to the new place. the spares were earlier stored in 3 different places and it always took more time to get them from there whenever anyone asked for them.

paint of the new place, a ramp, a lift and proper sitting place.

a display center for small cosmetic items like lights etc.

the above mentioned are pending due to the fact that we got some priority cars to maintain at the moment. the gates have not been opened yet at the new place. only close people are being entertained.

hopefully, the pending works will also be done in a week or two. uploading some random pics for you people

wow! are u opening up a merc workshop or wat? sounds great! it should be a lot of help for people who find it hard to maintain these cars. where is this located? i wish someone would open up a workshop for mercs in sargodha too. too many people want to keep mercs but dont because of this issue. a few people that i know take their mercs to INH lahore, thats not very practical (to drive to another city to maintain a car)
anyways, lovely progress on the thread... do keep us all posted!

Yes. Started a workshop for Benz especially and will also treat Pakistani and Japanese cars. The latest pics are of the workshop.

Yes brother. Started a workshop for Benz. It is located on the canal right next to ring road canal interchange. Same will be done in Sargodha in the long run. People do have problems over there.
Last week a BMW 5 series broke down and there was not a single scanner in Sargodha who could read car readings.

Its painted brother. Needs to be restored. I won't restore her. It will be sold

nice - make sure to hire a tool maker and have a lathe etc real handy - you can make tools to make work 1000 times faster that way.

dont forget a dhuaan wala baba for when an early w140 rolls in with electrical problems. - Add a molana if its a V12.

btw what is the hand tooling ownership? mechanic or supplied by you? If im correct you would have also invested in an air compressor for impact work.

A w140 rolled in yesterday whose oil cooler got leaked.

And I have you to contact if I ever run into problems.
Tools supplied by me. The lining/piping is in place. Air compressor needs to be bought. There are plenty of things to be done yet brother. I plan to do it slow and steady. I don't want to make a show shappee wali dukan. Took this panga with limited resources.

Will be taking your guidance as well on some issues

Normal scanner connects but couldn't read specific values needed. Could not erase the fault codes either.

The mechanic from Sargodha asked us to come. We were going to visit but sadly, my partner's mother died and we had to cancel the visit. Don't know what happened to it then.

hmmmm. as far as i know, there are only 2 here currently. an e60 525 and a black new 520d. and sir who is this trust worthy and intelligent mechanic of urs in Sargodha? such a specie rarely exist! although my mechanic is competent too (khaawar, in shahnawaz workshop near nadra office, just besides total petrol pump) people sometime bring their mercs to him too. i think i once saw ur friend (khawaja sab, ABT 173) there in his e class to fix some transmission issue . hes gud but charges too much. i mean naa-jaiz. but i still go to him as i trust him. would love to another trust worthy mechanic to the directory. and it would be great if u can train him for mercs. i might get myself a merc few years down the line

if the tooling is supplied by you - be sure to engrave them and make an inventory list for everyday check. Its the only way to ensure the tools dont grow legs and walk out of the door. In my experience the best MB repair shops I saw in EU were not the prettiest, they were smart shops meaning that they would actually make their own special tools to quicken work. e.g. I saw that shop made a crate on which the entire rear subframe of a W210 would sit perfectly without flopping over, Then they would remove and replace all arms and bushings with other special tools they made. That job took them 3 hours in total while it would take other shops 6 or 8. They were charging book time tho - more money for them.

btw - what lines of the cooler leaked, the swage joints or the metal line rusted through?

hahaha. very nicely put brother. i have see it happen but Allah k karam se hum bachay huay hain. engraving the tools is a good idea though. i will keep that in mind.

I dont see any aprons on the cars - you can easily make them with some old blankets and plastic liner on top. Really saves the paint finish.

btw - what did you replace the lines with? full rubber or bent pipe with new swage fittings? or new MB part.

silver will be up for sale in a week. will keep the other one for long drives.

they are in the trunks and are used when required brother. will get some additionally made for customer cars.

apron meaning fender apron when working on the engine bay - I hope we are on the same page.

anyway - I have repaired the oil cooler lines more than once by bending tubing for exact fit then swaging pipes onto them. The older cars 126 etc had oddball oil coolers - good thing is that MB sells a repair kit called "screwed nipples" to use when the original cooler line threads strip out in the cooler.
