Yaar i am not so Much technical Man..........so kindly tell me that when you change the engine of your car.........you should also change the gears as well???
Secondly tell me that when you change the engine of your car.....you must change that thing in your registration papers also........so is that a lenghty and difficult process or it is easy to do ......also tell me that you have to give the yearly token according to your engine cc or it depends upon your car and its model??

If you change an engine...there are many different steps. Sometimes if you are just chuking out the old engine and putting in the same engine but a newer one then no need to change the gears and suspension...sometimes when you put a newer model engine in an old car you need to change the gears and suspension as well.

When converting from petrol to diesel you need to change ..engine, gears, suspension, radiator plus numerous other small things.

As for the change of engine number in registeration book, that a relatively cheap process, I cant remember now exactly for how much but I think it used to be just Rs. 500 to 1000.

Mr.Hot: That DOHC engine is either a D16a8/a4 aka ZC or B18b ooh haan it couldbe B20. longstroke LS block higher disp blocks are used in hybrid setup LS/VTECs. pretty solid internals but good for boosting.

changing engine is one of the steps to a perf. car. i just went through a project,, and lots of tiny bit parts i have replaced to maintain perf. the support parts of engine, if you wanna look at "car has a whole with perf" not somthing that speeds up a few times and yr project is over and not something that when ever its going fast yr worried about control.
