Hello all,
I need some guidance from you guys in purchasing a dash cam. I've got some relatives who are coming over to Pakistan from the US and i am going to have them bring it here. I read some reviews online and found one that had good user feedback and was also inexpensive. Can anyone recommend dashcams in diff. price segements? Or is it already discussed on the 25-page long thread?

I need one with a wide angle, something that gives quality (not jittery pixelated video), and one that works at night too.

Not at the moment bro. Actually I ordered a power adapter switch (DC 12V to 5V converter) from US which just arrived this month.
I don't want to plug in the dashcam in to the cigarette lighter socket in the car. Instead I plan to hard wire it and for doing that I need the converter.

Besides this I also got a "add a circuit" from aliexpress.com:

So, basically, we hook up the dashcam cable to the power adapter switch and then to the car's fusebox through the add-a-circuit.
