Anyone using dashcam in Fortuner? Which cam is more suitable to buy and install especially considering it doesn't block the vision?

Also the dashcams are locally available or we have to order from Ali express? Thanks

Not on fortunes but a different Crossover. Get a viofo A129. You get two cameras, a front and a rear one. I am using Viofo 119 for over 3 years now without any problems. My dash cam is only forward looking.

Dashcams are not specific for any car or SUV. Installation and vision is all down to the expertise and effort of the installer.

Its very easy to hide the dashcam behind the drivers mirror. And the cables can be tucked away in headliner lining easily. This is all fairly straight forward and can be even by one at home, if DIY inclined.

The more challenging aspects are, if one wants to install a rear dashcam as well and running the cable from front to rear, nicely hidden in headliner. This is still doable and many cars get this.

Secondly, be careful if you are getting hardwire kit to get it tested, as incorrect installation can drain your battery very quickly. Just be sure to test this after installation.

Agree Viofo are best dashcams in budget friendly category. Their cameras have good lenses and they are very reliable.

The only difference between them and top of the line (Blackvue, Thinkware etc) is extra features like Wifi and app for viewing and downloading captured videos from your mobile etc. The other benefit may be having option to install more than 2 cameras. If you dont need these extra features, you can save some money.

I have been using Viofo 119v3 (yes it has many generations, as they are improving and releasing new model every year) for over a year. Its been rock solid and I have no issues.
