I was going to refer to axle bind aswell. Since you have an f20b installed, when you lower the car more than an inch, that also changes the angle of the axle, causing an abnormal position of the tripod inside the cv housing. I'm guessing that the engine is running on custom mounts. To some what rectify the issue, you might need to lower or raise the engine from the side that is facing axle bind IF there is space to move the engine / trans.
