Electric cars just don't work right when built on existing ICE platforms. Basically nothing good from Merc until EQS goes on sale.

Well, no one is buying Camry as well as an Accord. Keep in mind EV need an active charging network and most importantly the FAST DC network on highway and we dont have it at this time. For now EV can only be for your Mall Road cruising/ just local driving ..

Yes you’re right EV car industry has is not suitable for Pakistan yet but still if government does something about it and a car like this is introduced it will be a success like e-tron has been even when there close to ZERO charging stations in Pakistan

Keep in mind no where in the world EV chargers are installed or operated by government.

Charging companies along with EV makers are the ones mostly responsible. Government only can give incentives but with limited EV'S and also being expensive, I dont know if it would be easy for someone to deploy a country wide network or at least on motorways and I m not talking about the typical 55kwh chargers currently you see few in Lahore or Islamabad. I am talking about fast DC chargers with 100kwh and over capacity, along with it maintenance and 24/7 input from grid.

Last I know many times the service areas on motorway and pumping stations in summer are running on the generators because of shortfall. EV will not work that way.. people even in Europe and US where there are extensive charging network are skeptical buying EV because of range anxiety.

I meant it has been a success if you compare it with some other Audi like Q3 or Q5 I have not seen a single q3 or q5 2019 or 2020 model on the roads of course it can’t be a success like Sportage but in terms of new German cars in that price I think it’s the most sold car recently I have seen quite a bit of them on roads

I dont use PW as a yardstick for sale and usage of cars, From other sources of mine, I know how these cars were financed/leased and what sort of failures they faced and where they are parked - waiting for repairs - Premier shipping/Audi is not equipped to repair these in Pk.

you have a really funny way of measuring success of a vehicle.

Moving it off the lot is not considered success, keeping them on the road is success. Just like you see millions of corollas and civics on the road, that is called success.

When do you ever see German cars on the roads as much as civic or corolla I just want to say that it has been a success compared to other GERMAN CARS
Of course a car over 1.5crore is not going to sell like a civic I’m just talking about cars in it’s category and price
