There are no details available whether they will launch CKD or CBU. The document only mentions the partnership and purchase of assets. I heard in March that they may start operations by the end of this year.

Sounds good, I found the article confusing personally. I still feel having CKD plants for EVs is highly risky on the assemblers part.

Seres 3 is a good test case along with the Honri - other interested folks will be closely watching. Fingers crossed.

Is main battery liquid cooled?

Specs for 3.0 is slightly different like battery chemistry is LFP. So we should ask the company again about the battery cooling

_ BYD Song Plus series tops one million sales_

On July 20, BYD announced that the cumulative sales of its BYD Song Plus new energy vehicles have exceeded 1 million units, making it the first new energy SUV in China to reach this mark.

Currently, the BYD Song Plus series has two variants: DM-i (plug-in hybrid) and pure electric, within the BYD Dynasty product line. Earlier on January 3 this year, at BYD Auto’s Xi’an factory, the 800,000th BYD Song Plus Champion Edition rolled off the production line. At the time, BYD claimed that the series had won the sales championship of plug-in hybrid SUVs for two and a half consecutive years, with an annual sales volume of 390,213 vehicles in 2023, a year-on-year decrease of 14.81%, ranking second in SUV sales.

So far, BYD’s new energy vehicles have been sold in 88 countries and regions and more than 400 cities around the world. In addition to Thailand, BYD also has production bases in countries including Brazil, Hungary, and Uzbekistan. Most recently at the Guayaquil Auto Show in Ecuador, BYD held a Song Plus DM-i launch conference.

BYD to launch electric vehicles in Pakistan on August 17th

ISLAMABAD: BYD, a leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer from China, will join forces with Mega Motor Company (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO), to host a grand brand launch on August 17th in Pakistan. This launch will officially showcase BYD’s passenger cars to the Pakistani market.

As per details, billboards hinting at the formal launch of BYD have been sighted across major metropolitan cities in the country. Since the strategic partnership was announced in March, this collaboration aims to introduce fully electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, marking the entry of the world’s new energy vehicle sales champion in 2022 and 2023, into the Pakistani market. This venture is expected to redefine Pakistan’s automotive landscape, providing cutting-edge NEV solutions to a market eager for sustainable and energy-efficient transportation options.

Sazgar Engineering Works (SAZEW) is set to introduce the ORA-07 EV, a Completely Built Unit (CBU) electric vehicle, to the Pakistani market in the coming days.

The listed company shared the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.

“We are pleased to inform you that the company is planning to launch a new imported CBU ‘ORA-07 EV’ electric vehicle within couple of days and booking of these vehicles will be commenced accordingly,” Sazgar informed in its notice.

ORA 07 is a sub-brand of Chinese automotive giant Great Wall Motors (GWM), which specialises in EVs. GWM is a major player in the global automotive industry, with a portfolio that includes well-known brands such as Haval, Ora, and Tank, along with the innovative automotive technology firm Salon Mecha Technology Co., Ltd.
