It is said that the Geely CK II will be replaced by GC3, which was displayed at the recent Beijing Auto Show 2010..

Earlier at the Beijing Auto Show 2010, Geely showed us the Gleagle GC3 which was supposed to be the successor of the CK. However it seems as if it would take too long for the production version of GC3 to appear, as Geely are working on another face-lift of CK, spy pics below.
There are minor changes in the headlights, radiator grill & rear combination lights. And interior comes with a red & black combo with silver paneling and a new sporty 3 spoke steering wheel. It is also evident from spy shots that CK carries the Gleagle emblem instead of Geely emblem both inside & out. Which affirms Geely's plans to fade away itself and move the CK to its Gleagle sub brand..
How do have so much knowledge about chinese cars??and will u please tell me that y dont we import these cars, when they are cheap and good looking wen compared to other competitors that we have over here in Pakistan!!
^ its all about interest. And u are right that they are cheap and better than local ones particularly Suzukis, but landing cost of these cars because of unrealistic import duties is one main reason why these cars aren't imported here. The official Geely dealer told me that since the CK were imported as Completely Built Units, the cost of new ones as per the current duty structure is more than 12 lac, so its quite understandable that no one would buy a Chinese sedan when it will cost like a New City.
Guys, I'm getting a GEELY CK for 7 lac. It has done 69000kms. And condition seems fine. It is 2007 registered. Tell me should I go for it or not? Thanks in advance.
^ in Karachi, 2007 ones have been going out for 5 and a half lac only..
geely is total total bogus sh*t ... i drove this car from mardan to peshawar on motor way and its a total **** can .... cultus is heaven in front of this ....
total f.a.r.t can
available in 1.0, 1.3 & 1.5 liter engines with slightly reworked exterior & a refreshed interior & steering wheel
Geely releases today three new versions of the CK subcompact bearing the Gleagle emblem. Two engine options are provided: a 1.0-liter rated 50kW/6000rpm and 88Nm/3600rpm, and a 1.5-liter of 75kW/5800rpm and 136Nm/2800-3400rpm; both are matched with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 2010 Geely CK, which will remain on the new car market for a while, is powered by a 1.3-liter of 63kW and 110Nm and a 1.5-liter of 69kW and 128Nm.
Besides new engine options, the Gleagle CK also gets a few cosmetic upgrades, while the wheelbase (at 2434mm) and external dimensions remain unchanged. The bare-bone 1.0L model sells for only 39,800 Yuan or 6,150 US Dollars (5.2 lac PKR). It comes with power windows/doors/external mirrors, but no air bags or air conditioner.
price starts from 33800 yuan which is only 4.6 lac PKR while the fully loaded version is for 55800 yuan which is 7.6 lac PKR.. now Chery QQ today is said to be priced from 7.5 lacs which indicates that the CK will no way be near the above quoted price if someday it makes its comeback here. too bad..
