A friend had his Valima in Mirpurkhas today and I was invited. But as soon as I stepped inside my home at 7:45 tonight, I knew what I'd do. Within twenty minutes, I was back outside. Around 9pm, I was at the PIA planetarium. Fellow astronomers had done a wonderful job and the response from the public (100+ folks) made the event a real success. Venus, Mercury, Mars, Saturn and the Orion Nebula had been the prime targets.
After I arrived at the scene, I took some questions and did some quick briefing before we slewed the 5" Goto telescope to the 37 Cluster. Viola!

This was the first time any of us saw the cluster. Note that this is not a line of sight alignment of vastly spaced stars. This is a true cluster.
