I am an audiophile but not when it comes to cars, but if you've got mcintosh amps in your car I can only imagine the cost or the quality :o did not even know they did car stuff!

Regardless I do hope all you run on it are FLAC's because anything less would be an insult to a sound system of this calibre! For us dreamers please put in a total project cost

Yeah they do cost an arm and a leg. Mcintosh used to do car stuff a couple of years back. They don't do it anymore. The amps I have are from the last generation manufactured.
Plus, you are totally right about running FLACs. I do not settle for anything less now.

The RCAs from the right side.. The power cables from the left side...

So, the aeroflex sheets were used on the outer walls of the doors.

The inner-wall covered with stinger..

The sheets were cut into small pieces and applied to some openings and other areas, to achieve the 'no rattle' target.

I highly suggest people to spend on dampening solutions when going for a good build. You will be surprised (as was I) with the results achieved. I can proudly say that I've managed to reduce the vibrations and cabin noise to the minimum, provided my car is PKDM.

So have I. The thing about the audio scene is, once you see some new builds coming along, the inner 'audio-bone' is always tickled, and you think of getting back into action. I find this hobby pretty much unavoidable. You always feel like getting back to it even if you think about quitting for a while.

The spacers for the mid-bass drivers were sprayed to prevent moisture absorption - and to make them look better.

The problem with the install was I had to fit in 4 amplifiers. The only temporary suitable solution was to mount all 4 of them on either sides of the same rack. I had to sacrifice some of the boot space, since the rack had to be installed a few inches away from the back seats, in order to create room for ventilation for the amps on the other side. Yes, I cannot operate the amps on the other side - I know that. I would be more than happy if some gurus here would like to suggest any alternate ways.
