I have bought 5 laptops over the course of 10 years.
Latest one is an i7 16gb ram and nvidia graphics card to run gta5 pretty much fully loaded device except for touch screen and SSD

But now i really feel one should invest in a desktop computer for gaming and keep upgrading it.. As it is long lasting. Laptop are just consumable items( well at least in my case )

For work usage or browsing etc i would suggest get something for 50-70k in 15" size and invest in SSD retain the SSD and keep changing the laptop every few years

Basically m gonna use it for office workas well and in free time for gaming. Thats why mm opting for laptop

Since i have updated from Windows 8.1 to 10 Pro my laptop is bit slow. Its been four months since i have updated. It is HP Pavilion 15 Core i7 Haswell, 8GB ram, 1TB HDD, Nvidia GT 740M. Should i revert back to Windows 8.1?

1: Laptop should be brandnew with Official local warranty.
2: Brand should be DELL,HP or Lenovo.
3: Required SPECS are Core i5 (6gen). 4GB ram, 500GB or above hard drive, Dedicated graphic card will be a plus as it is used for graphic and animation designing purposes.
Backlit keyboard is preferred with 5hours atleast battery life. With OS installed.
Plz suggest me best possible option as i have to buy it in few days. And also suggest me good shops who only sell genuine stuff in isb/rwp.

Asus seems to have the best laptops in terms of money to what you get ratio. My experience includes Dell, hp, Lenovo and Asus

Asus should be kept a mile away when selecting a mid range laptop, have experienced it , worst ever laptop it proved with 3rd gen core i5 processor and 6gb ram.

Really? I've been using an Asus for 2 years now with 8 hours use on average, bought it for 300 dollars. It even ran games like cod mw3, snipe elite, cities skyline comfortably. I find that very reasonable for a 300 dollar laptop.

I used a Lenovo prior to this, hated that piece of garbage.

Only choose between Dell and Lenovo. No HP crap.

Recently bought Lenovo laptop and build quality is good. Plastic is solid.

New Dell Laptops are coming with backlit keyboard. A cool feature. (check before buying if it's included or not)

Besides laptops from both brands can be easily opened for SSD and RAM upgrade.

Dell Core i5 with dedicated gpu will be available for Rs 50,000 - 55,000

You are not the only one here with this problem. Have seen people carrying around HP laptops with broken hinges. These are fixed into body. Can be changed along with body.

I carefully pick and move my laptop as I don't want the blast of broken hinge.

Well I had bad experience with Asus , heating issue was very common in that particular machine . So switched to Toshiba and its a work horse.

my experience between asus and toshiba was quite the opposite, especially heat related issues toshiba satellite 3rd gen i7 15.6" gave out heat like its exhaust was attached to a kiln compared to 3rd gen i5 asus, asus performed better under load due to heat management and provided longer battery timing despite having a 17" display. the rest of the specs were similar(dedicated gfx, 1 tb harddrive) except asus was upgraded from 4 to 8gb ram after market.

Local warranty and brand new.
You are in Islamabad so can not recommend any shop.

In Lahore, I buy computer accessories and laptops from Galaxy Computers.

If it's refurbished they will tell you.

Brand new ones are sealed with tape carrying companies logo.

Never been comfortable "updating" to next major version of windows.

Download latest version of windows 10 (v1607) from microsoft website and do a clean install.
