well i have been following your thread and really enjoying all the comments and especially the pics. really like the new spoiler and other modification. very
sporty and cool look i must say.

I am also thinking of ordering this car..but before that, i need an honest critique from you regarding this car.
please tell me what you think of the following. please remember that i will be getting this for use as a daily runner, so it will be used very frequently on
the roads of rawalpindi and islamabad.

Exterior
-Build quality
-suspension
-alloy rims quality
-halogen lights+fog lamps
-which is the best color to go for?? (ur thoughts about pearl red and eminent blue - i am inclined towards pearl red :D)

interior
-build quality
-seats
-comfort (especially on rough/bumpy roads)
-spaciousness
-road noise inside cabin
-AC cooling

Performance
-speed/pickup
-handling
-road grip/cornering
-brakes/ABS
-EPS steering
-any engine problems? is it a reliable engine??
- FUEL Average, how many KMs in one fuel tank? (please quote your original average that you get consistently. not the car's automated meter average)

this is by far pakistan's best looking swift mudflaps and spoiler really looking nice. bro 18k includes mudflaps,spoiler and the paint job for them too, right?

@lafafa, let the owner comment, but just a comment from my side this car shares the same Liana engine m13a.

Liana had tranny issues, but this car has a total different transmission and a shorter one. (world wide same is followed)

Swift+Liana + Baleno+ Santro + Lancer (have 2 coils and 2 wires hence misfiring on CNG)

Petrol Liana owners are very happy.

So if CNG is in ur mind dont go for Swift, only go if ur extra carefull about maintainence, and can bear the cost of ignition coils 8k each (2 for 16k)

since you say transmission is different, than hopefully shouldnt be a problem right??

and i am not going to use CNG. Never have in any car and never will (i own diesel :D)

yeah so what do you have to say about the coil problem if i want to keep it on petrol?? m13a engine has been used everywhere in the world. is it a troublesome engine?i have heard its been a major flop in liana. what is the reason? is this in CNG cars and mostly coil issues in CNG cars?

asking so much because swift is a very new car and not yet tried and tested much. dont know where it will stand after 50,000+ mileage...only know that m13a engine in liana gave problems (but not sure why)

i want hassle free car...i do look after my cars and engines but i dont like visiting the mechanics every now and than..

Yup, no tranny issues on the swift tranny. as its a differnt one. Altho Suzuki people have also fixed liana tranny issues to.

M13a is okay but CNG is not. Coil issues is also because of CNG the world has shifted to waste spark system but its fail on CNG (due to cost and atleast in Pakistan its a flop). Altho if ur using iridium plugs it does solves the problem (to some extent as it generates a higher spark required for CNG and waste spark systems)

Owners of Baleno Liana driving on petrol are very happy. its the cheapest car with Diggy and Factory fitted CNG and it realy feels gud to goto a party in a sedan rather n a hatchback with family. so Liana is a real attractive package for a middle class person.

But costs involved in keeping a Liana are way higher (higher then Civic and Rollas)

my mamu, sold a 98 Baleno (keeping for 10yrs) bot a Liana in 2008 (keeping in mind it was as gud) Sold it 24k driven now got a Gli for Drivers use.

SO if u have plans for Swift on Petrol go ahead. ur going tobe happy.

SORRY Buddy, was kinda very busy, So replying You late!

1. Build quality
   Its really impressive as compared to other localy assembled vehicles, But after all it is still "PAKISTANi ASSEMBLED" car!
2. Suspension
   Remarkably Comfortable and smooth drive it has, and its amazingly nippy when put to test, Seriously, even better on high speeds, dnt know whether it is due to its EPS or its Awsum stability!
3. Alloyrims quality
   Well dont exactly know about the quality but they look pretty sturdy along with their sporty looks!

4. Front lights
   Well on low beam the visibilty is quite limited, But whn you switch to high beam the whole ROad gets illuminated like anything!
   5 Colour
   Well i am against dark colour naturally But in This case i would seriously recommend you to go for a light colour! THREE REASONS, easy to maintain, heat and light resistant in Hot summers and lastly but most important reason, ITS SPORTY BLACK PILLARS. They would only be eye catching when the colour of the car would b light, And believe me The most attractive colour available in Pakistan swift is WHITE! Others include TOMATO RED AND STRONG YELLOW!

5. Interior
   Good Built Quality Rather best built quality in its class, i would rate it equalant to the plastics of vitz, if not better!(H)

6. Seats
   Well they ware a let down, Not properly designd, especially back, but i dont have any idea about its international model, probably it might be having the same too or the commendale folding feature of its rear seats restricts it to be so!
7. Comfort
   Simply amazing For a Hatch-back, almost equalent to vitz and i mean "ALMOST".
8. Road Noise
   Total sound proof it is from inside. I sometimes forget that i am still driving a suzuki. A job really done well by the Pak-Suzuki, probably the best. A little engine noise on first gear is audible, rest simply soundless.

9. A.C. Cooling
   Well buddy its More than satisfying uptill now, let The summers come At its peak! But, it really ammuses me when i see people asking me about its A.C. performance. I mean Rupees 1 million Hatch-back Car with 1300cc Engine, cumoooooon YAAAAR!:-#

10. Speed/Pick Up
    Simply Superb!(H)

11. Handling
    Simply AAAAAAAWWWWSOME!
12. Road grip/ Cornering
    Simply BREATH TAKING!
13. Brakes/ABS
    BRAKES are Impressive, Never kicked in ABS, YET!(H)
14. EPS/Steering
    AM Lovin IT!
15. Engine Problem
    WHAAAAAT???? I DIDNT GET YOU EXACTLY, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??:o;)
16. Fuel average
    The average, ''on road'' fuel consumption of the SWIFT is 14-14.5 km/l, irrespective of the A.C., shifting gears on RPM of 3. Meaning whether you turn on the a.c. or not it will give you the same mileage depending on your driving habits! In other words, A Full Tank of Rs. 3,100 would Allow you to travel For 600 kilometers, EASILY! on highway This car gave an average of 17 km/l. AND BRO IT does NOT have the Fuel consumption calculating gadget!

yar by engine problem i meant problems such as those experience by Liana (since engine is the same). but Chinyoti clarified that issue in his earlier post above.

Just wondering what happened to the rear screen wiper, cause all the imported hatchbacks have one and i guess the Swift models abroad have one as well. I went to check this car out at a Suzuki outlet and I have noticed that it has no foot support for long drives. Which was a surprise cause its not that expensive considering the price tag of a million.

The interior plastic is prone to scratches, the car on display had plenty of those. I liked it a lot and I am seriously considering about selling my 06 vitz to get one of these. But things like a manual trans, no foot rest, upright seats and lack of boot space are really making me think hard about this decision.

Your car however, with the modifications is a real gem. Good luck.

Coz most of the hatchback buyers in Pak buy small cars as they can not afford sedan cars that will have higher fuel/maintenance expense. Economy is the number 1 priority for them. Hence, apart from its purchase price, Swift not being on CNG is a major reason sales are not where the Suzuki people expected it to be.

Swift no doubt is a lot better than Cultus, and Swift price is roughly 16% or 1.5 lacs over the price of Cultus, which is justified. Especially when you consider the relatively high price difference between Alto and Cultus, even though both have identical 1000cc. But this CNG issue is a major one in Pak, considering the difference in Petrol and CNG prices these days.

That's the reason people bought over 1104 cultus, over 1002 Altos but only 279 swifts during April.

yes swift is world renowed car, and engine used is same in liana i.e M13A, I drove liana 30 months / 40k km on cng. So I don't think any cng problem in swift, but actually high price and initially dealers attitude (getting own) makes problem. In hatch back car peoples wants car in less than 1 million, secondly vitz performing better in market.
