Which helmet brand would you choose between studds and avex ? I am going to buy another helmet very soon.

Brother I don't want to start a war here between helmet brands. Maybe some other model of studds is better than what brother moazzam got for himself. Avex is a good brand as well.

I would suggest test riding both helmets for wind noise

Studds is a very very Good brand and its build quality and reliability is undoubtedly 100% but its really engineered ? well it came from India there are our of same blood as we Pakistanis so I can really you know comment on that ...

Avex its a Another very very competitive brand and @dr.omair your Side panniers are of that in case u dont know that and it also uses very high quality in making these gadgets but still its a Asian product... Proper engineering is not very much common mostly copy paste is what is done on large scale so better deal is to hit and try few model before buying one.

I want to share my wind noise experience and I do know how much bothering it can be and even one has to Stop and give some time to ears to relax if a poorly engineered helmet is wore.

I have more then 3 helmets which are like world war II type but When I wear the high quality half face helmet like this one :

Even on high speed their is no wind noise what so ever.

But please have a look in the beolw picture, this is when I was about to leave Islamabad a couple of months ago... notice this is my second helmet of same type but it is of some other company, and believe me while riding the bike I was so much concerned about fast wind Gushes that I started to hear whistle like sound constantly so i stopped and after few minutes my ears relaxed and that whistling stopped...

I have noted down and already mailed them for the wind noise coming from studds its hardly in on pc and this is the first complaint Inshallah it will not be happening in the future

Iam sure avex dont have many models like Studds has it
kindly check the lab report of avex and studds and then you can decide your self which is better

I totally agree with @dr.omair. we aren't deff untill yet :p. Following are my points

1. Wearing helmet is must but it should do sound proofing / air proofing could be plus point but not necessary.

2. These article are written in 1st world county where they get chances to ride at 120+. Yahan tu aap 80+ pe bhi continues nai ja sakte.
   You will have varying speed do it will have less stress on ears.

3. IMHO if you don't feel the wind and sound. Whats the purpose of riding then Better to drive a car then riding a bike. I am not saying that you should always put your face in open air at high speed but at least facing little air that could come in your helmet should be enjoyed. Especially when you are on a tour.

its even ok with a big Wind on face and consumable wind gush is even cool to have ... but the helmet in my second picture which I shared in the previous post was actually amplifying the wind gush effect and I really hated it never wore it again ...

I have been using a chinese sports helmet for qouite a long time now... If you notice I kept my visor opened almost the whole tour and used riding glasses, because the visor mirror was in bad shape in the whole tour, but my ears were so nicely covered that even in raining when i closed the visor I was warm, noiseless and air blow free inside and I knew you were enjoying the rain in the Studds helmet by loooking outside of the closed visor but I was much concerned about Dr. Sb becuase his helmet was not designed for rainy situations even I think I asked you about it in tour too... hah ha haha

Yeah kamal bhai i have seen your helmets at the show no doubt they are of good quality my friend also purchased a scorpion helmet from you. Will visit you soon i am interested in motocross and downtown model

Its not a big deal we don't ride at high speeds so i don't think the wind would do any damage to our ears.Plus our rides can hardly cross 120 km/h

try using some Jugar,..... i fixed it by using romal ... Sir per romal bandh ker ear cover ker k check kiya tha mene it was very workable juggaar ...
