We reached Raikot Bridge at 4:45pm. On Raikot Bridge there is a PTDC Motel and from here hired Jeeps are available for Jail/Tato village (15km jeepable track) and from there another 9 km walking track for Fairy Meadows

Nobody is allowed to drive their own 4x4s except local jeeps drivers because the track is maintained by these jeep owners and villagers.

The 15km Fairy Meadows Jeapable Track
It is said that “people goes to such areas by their own choice but comes back safely on Gods will” is really true. Another comments, which I have heard about this track by a Jeep driver “If a jeep slips down from this track It won’t hurt you because before reaching ground you will be scared to death”

Reached the point 15 Km (Jail/Tato village) at 7pm from where we had to track up to Fairy Meadows. Started tracking at 7:30pm and reached Fairy Meadows at 10:45pm (3hrs 15 min. The pics missing during that period)

Fairy Meadows itself is a superb place to visit but Nanga Parbat adds another magnetism to it. So the main purpose of visiting Fairy Meadows is of course the fabulous Nanga Parbat

Nanga Parbat means “Naked Mountain” in Urdu/Persian, but it’s also called sometimes Diamir, which means “The King Mountain”. It’s the ninth highest mountain on Earth, and considered as the hardest, because to the south Nanga Parbat boasts what is the highest mountain face in the world. Climbers also called it the Killer Mountain. Nanga Parbat took 31 lives before it was climbed by Austrian climber Herman Buhl in 1953.
