Regular maintenance includes oil+oil filter change, air filter cleaning, fuel filter change and turbo+inter cooler+ EGR cleaning.

Maintainance is not an issue some parts r available in scrap and some as new and half the price of Toyota 4x4 and Ameer bhai said if u do normal maintainance diesel never disappoints u engine will run to the last breath unlike petrol engine

Yup, parts are not a big issue. Almost every thing is available. Pajero 2nd gen is the most suitable vehicle in 1 million +/- range.
