good thing u caught it on time. if you were late you might have lost another engine. i wish i had such experience, feels good to know there are some people in the world who dont mind getting their hands dirty

HI,
Thermostat valves are designed to remain open once they get faulty. There is no mechanic in market who can put them right. Get an OEM valve and always replace it if u feel that ur car is running cold. There is no specific life span but OEM ones lasts, like forevver. I dont remember that I ever had it replaced.

read this all conversation yesterday to reconfirm my suspecion after searching online as mine was always very cold even after long drive - if I parked the car for a while and started again - surprisingly it felt like car slept for over the night in a very cold whether today (14/12/2019) I requested Ali Autos defence road to plzzzzzzzzzz open it without any questions - the guy opened and there was NO VALVE at all...(well I was expecting faulty one but thanks to previous owner - there was none!) and now I feel relaxed Alhamdolillah heater A/C and auto fan - everything is fine

labour - 400
