Think twice before giving a phone to Nokia Care

Just wanted to share my experience of Nokia Care, i had an N70 with 2 months Advance Telecom warranty. It had software problem (hanged) and the USB cable was not working. I gave it to Nokia Care at Siddiq Trade Centre Gulberg Lahore for repairing. Exact date i gave it on is 17 December 2008. They said it will be sent to factory for repairs which takes upto 10 working days. Well, today is 29th January and they still keep saying that the phone isnt here yet. I have called them a dozen times since last month and they keep saying just 1 more day, just 2 more days etc. So now im still waiting to get the phone back and now just 1 month warranty is left, not sure if i'll even get it in the next month.

Moral of the story: If your thinking of getting your phone repaired from Nokia Care, might as well throw it away.

Talk to departmetn head at nokia care center , i am sure u problem will be resolved (100 %)

If i tell them that i want to talk to the head or manager, they say please hold and thats it. Hold for 10 mins but no use.

Even when i did get to talk to the manager, again i got the same answer 'just 2 days more' and thats it. Such great customer service.

Make some noise!

Talk to their manager, you did that, great.
Next, you e-mail/call Nokia's head office, send a complaint there (official) and they will ensure the problem is rectified, and that Nokia Pakistan is more efficient.

Complain to PTA (I believe they also fall under PTA)

btw have they given u any service phone or u've to arrange that too on ur own?

by service phone you mean a temporary replacement phone? nope they didnt give me anything, i even told them that if they cant fix the phone get me a replacement but no scene, they're just wasting time. feels like a few people just made a service centre but actually theres no SERVICE there...

Call Nokia on 11 11 NOKIA(66542) and not on their outlet number...

This connects to Dubai but ur charged local... Register a complaint with them...

Woh khud he outlet waloun ko danda de lain ge...

Btw agar phone factory jata hay tou it takes 30-40 days

well my phone had hanging problem. i gave to them, it was back with me in 5 days. Hope u get ur phone back soon.

what @funkycapricorn said is true and it works. My friend's E51 had some problem and nokia care returned the set after 1 month and the problem was still there. He again gave it them and then they did not return it for 2 months. he then contacted head office in dubai on the UAN also send some emails and you know what. they gave him a new set with renewed warranty.

well i want to share my experiance i had p990 had usb prb. so gave the cell in sadar branch of nokia care get it back fine in 10 days

then a 5220 speaker went off again went there go it fixed in 15min

the e61 display problem went to blue area and fixed it in 20 min also with tea and biscuit was served to me

Yes they gave me receipt with details of the claim etc.

They told me on Saturday i.e 31st Jan that the phone is back and i can recieve it, but i was quite busy then. I will go tomorrow (Monday) and try to get warranty renewed from them or atleast get it extended for 2 months which they wasted.

Nokia customer care ppl in lahore are very rude and pose to be extra tricky, i have N 73 Islamic edition, it got some problems like memory low, i went CC lahore and they said they will charge Rs. 2000 for this and the fone will be given back after 5 dayz... Fortunately, didnt give them my fone and visited hafeez center and paid Rs. 300 and got my fone just after one hour and satisfied.
