CVT Oil

(Bought from Pakistan Oil Store, Lahore for Rs. 3150 / 4L pack, in December, 2018. It fully fulfills the requirements of Toyota CVT transmission oil for my ride. Whenever I will be going for complete regular preventive maintenance of my ride, I will also change the CVT Oil I.A.)

Engine Oil

Bought the full carton from the very same and reputed Pakistan Oil store, Lahore, for Rs. 11,800 in December, 2018. Total Quartz 9000 Future series was my first choice, however, neither 0w-20 nor especially 5w-30 was avilable in 1L or 3L packing. Since packaging was my criteria for the ease, I had to settle for this.

I used 01 pack in my ex-ride; Passo, for the very first time, and concluded that it is equally, reasonably good. I would suggest that if you can not find Total Quartz 9000 future series, settle for this. Best for bucks in its class!

Will go for first oil change for Vitz tomorrow, IN SHA ALLAH, and share the details and pics.

ZIC A+ 5w-20 will now be the engine oil for my ride.

Distance from my home in Bahria Town, to office in Pak Secretariat, via Main PWD Double Road, Islamabad Expressway and Blue Area.

Current Odometer Reading as of today

Total Distance from Home to Office and back (and it is min., otherwise daily 10-15 Kms are added due to grocery, etc. I did not do anything today, just as to get the very precise and exact figure)

Distance from Office to back home, via Murree Rd. Islamabad expressway and Main PWD Double road (it is slightly less in comparison to morning)

Can you believe it?

I myself can't, but it is real! And it is the fuel economy in city; its achievable and possible.

(and it was even drizzling today in the eve here, trucks rush and load, traffic moving extremely slow, etc.)

MA beautiful consumption. Right on par with Toyota.jp webpage figures - Now keep the CAT freeflowing and it will stay this way.

And this is combined urban/hwy figure - Also, keep the tire size OEM. It hits MPG figures HARD.

Also do a manual calculation of the gasoline consumed to get the real figures - It will be close to the cluster figures but that is the only foolproof method.

Get a Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax or Meg No.26 or Mothers SynWax (no idea if still avail). Costs a bit more but water-beading capabilities are just beautiful and it will outlast your ownership of this car as it goes on in very thin layers. Combine it with a quality shampoo like Mothers Wax and Wax and you will notice the difference.

A high quality wax will allow your clearcoat to be much more robust in the face of swirls and for a color that looks as stunning as yours it will make the grain truly 'pop'.

Another thing is the practicality in FL Vitz. The interior has additional cabins on passenger side which I really missed after selling my second generation Vitz. The quality also has improved in FL as Toyota added extra cloth padding on front doors along with silver plastic coating. They initially cut corners when they launched 3rd generation Vitz but bounced back in facelift.

Excellent figures.
The new improved 1KR-FE is doing wonders. The average will slightly reduce in Lahore due traffic congestion but still I am amazed.
You are confusing me to get another Vitz as currently I am searching for Toyota Aqua (Really hard to find clean graded car and cannot import due to new SRO)

Is 5w-20 suitable for 1KR?
Currently I am using Total fully synthetic 5w-30 it’s good till 4000 kms but after that engine gets really rough and noisy.
