So I can go to Lahore four times in your Vitz for the same cost - Outstanding... Meanwhile I continue to suffer 4.6km/l .... Seriously thinking of a fuel-efficient veh now...

Yes. For sure and why not?

It's said that Passo is more fuel efficient than Vitz (may be, when comparison is made between same model years), however, in my case, I have found the opposite to be True. I had owned Passo, but it never gave me such outstanding MPG figures (MA SHA ALLAH).

Well, a lot of other factors too decide for such figures; most important being, driving with an extremely light foot, slow braking and acceleration / deceleration. And whenever I see traffic jam or long waiting time for the signal to open, I switch OFF the engine, almost no idling (it can work in winters, but of course, not summers )

4.6 kmpl is really bad fuel efficiency. Mind sharing your ride details?

2011 VX-R Landcruiser 5700. It is usual for 5.7 VXRs to give such fuel averages. The more common AX/ZX with 4.6 1UR/2UZ are better - But my work requires me to travel in excess of 10,000kms monthly with almost 24hours idling, so keep that in mind (No I'm not a smuggler - govt employee LOL)

Edit: I am planning on getting a smaller car in future, although not required as of now as a bachelor. I was thinking along the lines of Prius C (Aqua) but after this thread and given my affiliation with NA motors I'm inclined to give Vitz a shot.

Google says 6.3KPL for 5.7 as combined. Now add idle + GT road style stop-and-go.

Last 3 months calculation:
-Total Odo: ~~26,400kms
-Fuel Consumed: ~~5500litres (1:1 Premium: Regular)
- KPL: 4.8

If you own 5.7L Land Cruiser, then its OK. What fuel efficiency can be expected from 5.7L engine? They are not designed to be fuel efficient

Well, if you can easily manage and afford Toyota Prius C (Aqua) 1.5L, and now even Vitz 1.5L Hybrid (2017-and above), then I would personally recommend to go for 1.5L car, preferably Hybrid Vitz 1.5L (1.5L car is more fun to drive than 1.0L car, but in city drive, you cannot go more than 60-80 kmph, so, both are equal).

If going for used JDM, then Self-import one and it must be at least 4.5 auction Grade. Otherwise, 2015-2016 or above models Vitz and Passo (especially 3rd generation Passo, with Moda Package) are also excellent options, however, may feel under-powered sometimes.

Vitz 1.5L + E-motor torque will have some punch. I like Vitz better than Passo. Passo always had identity issues as a hatchback. Vitz/Yaris is immensely popular and it is a shame the 2-Door variant is missing in Japanese market.

Combined Fuel Efficiency from Home in Lahore to Home in Islamabad / Rawalpindi, Via Lahore - Islamabad Motorway

Total Odo reading as of today.

I forgot to reset trip meters as I had done on my way going to Lahore. So the fuel efficiency is combined, including drive from home to Lahore Toll Plaza, M2 Motorway, and from Islamabad Toll Plaza to all the way back to my home.

Fuel used: Shell and Total (But normal, regular one! Not High Octane or Premium)

And this was way up; "Charhai"; and this combined is more than the one I had on Motorway only, this past Friday on way down "Utrai"

Speed: Again ~110-115 kmph (other than salt range)

Had a 2-door Yaris 5-speed manual. It was FUN to drive. Amazing fuel avg too at 18kpl with lead foot courtesy of manual tran i guess.

Yes, and me too. I have owned both Vitz and Passo, but personally, Now I like and prefer Vitz more due to its aggressive shape and styling, interior & exterior, and build. It seems superior than Passo (just my personal opinion, others can disagree).

Manual is no doubt, the most fun to drive, however, rush, stop-and-go traffic do not favor manual transmission nowadays.

Mashallah beautiful car, I have heard that there is a performance difference between 2013 & 2014/15 model vitz. The later model has a bit noisy engine but it gives better milage than 2013 the previous shape vitz.

Absoluely correct. I have been using it in Passo, and had been recommending it to other fellows too, but later switched to Total Quartz 9000 5w-30 Future Series, for best for bucks.

ENEOS Sustina 5w-30 costed me Rs. 1250/L last year somewhere, and now, its price might have increased.
