I had bought oil carton from Pioneer Automotives Gujranwala. They are importers of Kendall Phillips66 Co. Lubricants from USA, n they delivered me to Islamabad.

In Islamabad a guy in F10 has it but he keeps on fluctuating the price on his own. So after two purchases i went to the actual supplier. N a bottle of 0w20 Synthetic had cost me 1250/Bottle of 948mL , currently it is same on the website.

After some on spot survey n wandering (Despite of initial survey)
I ended up buying Oil Filters from Hamza Yunus Autos 850Rs/Piece > Apparently he sells genuine products but extremely high at price end.
He quoted 2600Rs for Genuine Toyota Air Filter and Cabin Filter was around 1500 something. He only has one type of quality. Which ppl n he says are genuine. But i dint opt for buying air n cabin filters.

A guy referred to Potohar Autos which is also nearby on the same road, Kamran market.
I bought Air Filter in 1000Rs n Cabin 800Rs.
Apparently the first copies. But 100% similar in quality/Color/Softness to the ones Hamza Yunus was selling.
So that's all about the purchases

Tyre rotation is just changing place of all of the four tyres after a specific time interval. i.e. 15000kms (Not sure about exact kms) but i had done it around 15000 i guess.

I blv, It is needed so that all the four tyres wear evenly. Good for the tyres lifespan.

For the reason that once tyres are rotated its better to get them both Balanced and aligned.

Another good name for Filters is Ejaz Autos. Saddar Rwp. (Also in the vicinity of Kamran market & Bao Gee Pulao)
But i rate Potohar Autos as a small shop but good shop.

so u didnt check from mehran autos?? i think they r 1S of toyota as well.

However as per my experience Hamza and Mehran both sell orignal filters and parts. prices vary a bit between them.

i use guard oil filter mostly, achay wala air and ac filter and change them all at every 5k. i use toyota taglon 5w-50 oil fully synthetic mostly purchased from hamza younis or mehran auto.

i believe kendal is better however i prefer toyota orignal oil.

Just coz our oil filters dont last beyond 5k, thats the main reason i change all at 6k, although Phillips66 Says 10k change interval. But just being sceptical due to all the issues here in Pak i go for change at 6000kms.

Some ppl who use Engine Oils having change intervals of 7-8-10ks
What they do is that change oil filter at 5k, and then top up the required amount .
What is your take on that ??
I have never tried this.
The max i went with one filter n Kendall 0w20FullSynthetic is 7k, n in that oil condition was like okay, but i changed instead of dragging it to 10k (As per company recommendation).

On my last oil change at 5700kms, filter condition was so poor, that i regret buying it from there. (Although i had bought from a reputed store in G10 Markaz, i cant recall its name, its on back side Enercon. But it was a 3rd grade quality). Filter was literally not even in its shape. Twisted. That was the reason i went to saddar rwp in search of good n genuine products..

For Toyota i only prefer Ejaz Autos, he is into Toyota parts since late 70s. My grand father used to get parts for his KE70 1980 corolla from him back in 80s.

well we used to change oil in all our rides at 1200 KM interval till 2008 since most oils were mineral at the time.

once we started getting synthetic oils (pioneered mainly by ZIC in pakistan initially) i gradually increased change interval to 3K and now m using Total 9000 and Taglon 5w-50 and change interval is 5K in all rides.

I just have a feel with oil, as per my experience in summers specially once the oil crosses 4K kms the radiator fans usually turn on and off more frequently suggesting that the cooling capacity of the oil has reduced.

considering not only the environment but also the low grade fuel that we get in Pakistan i dont recommend stretching any oil beyond 5K / 6 months interval. This is to ensure that you will not have to get anything related to engine over haul till 300K KM.

by the way i recently sold my ride which crossed 300K Kms (never any engine issues) and have another one running AL HAMD U LILLAH fine at 325k KMs.
