i got my car with one key only
so i know i ll get the other key reprogrammed usually those keys guys have orig keys. what i want to know is that in this car there is no button to unlock transmission when it is off so how to source transmission key. will it be available with same key vendors or there is any jugar for it?

Brother for locking / unlocking transmission stick to operate when car / engine is off, there came a small rectangular shaped key, which gets fitted in the small space above P mark (Please refer to the picture above), But I never used it, so cannot comment that how it operates?

My car came with 03 keys in total and all original, 02 for the car and one small key for locking / unlocking transmission.

Brother it will have to be checked, and I think, some Jugaar will work.

If you can source shift unlock key, then it would be best (key makers might be able to make that key for you), otherwise, the Juggar mentioned in this video, will work on Vitz, I believe! IN SHA ALLAH

Yes, it's F safety edition, which was available from Oct 2017- onwards
Toyota safety sense C is standard in safety edition

Asalamoalaikum basit bhai hope you are doing well, i'm upgrading my car from Alto 2003 model to toyota vitz 2012 model i have seen one vitz that is in good condition was self imported in 2015 93000 driven with no touchups he was asking 1680 for it i gave him my offer 15 lacs. But he said 16 to lag chuke hain then i moved on and started for searching other cars but yesterday i received his call he was saying 1580 i told him i have to see 2.3 more cars then i will tell you.
In what price should i purchase from him?
Now i wanna know about vitz how is this car ? Mainetnance cost availability of parts? I have heard japani gari mat lou parts mehngy hote hen. And should i get mechanic and denter with me when for checking car? I'm new to this please guide.

Brother I do not have any idea regarding cars purchase prices, however, irrespective of it, before buying any car, have it thoroughly inspected by some expert.

If none is there, avail any professional cars inspection service.

As I have detailed in my thread above, Vitz is a great car. It did not give me any problems. AL HAM DU LILLAH.

Routine Maintenance cost is cheap. Parts for common, routine use (like brake pads, filters, plugs, etc.) are easily avalable at reasonable prices, however, when it comes to spare parts, they are expensive.

May only be available from scrapyards, and mostly in used condition, and sometimes, they are even not available, and hard to find.

@basitali87 Bro I have read 800 posts of this very long thread, have you got transferred from Islamabad that you sold your car ? one of the best graded and clean vitz I must say you had.

Anyway I also have a 2014 vitz and had CVTF fluid changed at 50k from Rehman autos, the bolt said FE and I have gone with KIXX CVTF also compatible with both TC/FE as per recommendation from Atta Ur Rehman. He also advised to clean the entire CVT chamber and lined but I politely asked him to drop the pan and change fluid. 3.8 liters was changed and the drained oil though dirty wasnt that bad either (no solid gunk).

Problem I am facing before and even after oil change when driven bit hard whistle noise from the gear box and only when driven for longer period of time I travel alot on motorways from BWP-ISB. Any idea about this issue should I go with Toyota oil for another 10k expense ? @aunabbas_90 bro any such issue faced by you ?? because a friend also has same 2014 vits only done 25k and same noise can be observed in his car aswell a grade 4 with authentic verified sheet car.

Nope Dear. Not at all. I am still, currently, in Islamabad, however, I sold due to some financial reasons (had to pay back loan, that's why).

May be, I upgrade any time in the future IN SHA ALLAH, whenever I have "Gunjayesh".

Brother no idea. If the problem has been even before CVTF change, and after changing CVTF, the problem is still there, it means CVTF was not the culprit. Problem may be lying somewhere else.

Nope. No No. Not at all. You do not need to change CVTF again, provided it was 100% genuine and original, met / exceed OEM requirements, and proper quantity was filled (neither under-filling, nor over-filling)

If you would have read above, in my case, I went for Caltex CVTF, becuase it met the criteria of both CVTF-TC and CVTF-FE, and was at almost half the price of Toyota genuine CVTF. I drove my car for around 20,000 kms after changing CVTF by Caltex, and AL HAM DU LILLAH, never faced any kind of transmission problems, ever!

Condition for any oil is: 100% genuine and original, and meeting / exceeding OEM requirements.

Since you have changed your CVTF from Atta Sb., I would suggest to visit him again, and discuss / highlight the issue. Since he already has seen your car, he would be able to better guide and judge.

Me and my friend both bought vitz together though his was better graded and low millage and he faces this whining whistling noise aswell so its to assume the issue is common with these CVTF transmissions.

Ali I cant say much as nothing similar happened to me.
Despite of the fact that neither did I changed the CVT nor any other fluid. I just kept changing Engine Oil. Drove it for almost an year around 25000kms and later I sold it at I think around 80,000kms ODO.

Well still after changing CVT if the problem was there, then it wasn't never there I blv. Its something else.

What is the latest status of the issue you faced ??

are you guys referring to the whistle sound at high speeds?
I had this issue and it got resolved when I fixed the fender and below engine shield which was loose. the whistle sound used to come at 100 kmph plus speeds.
I couldn't figure it out and one day the whistle sound started at 60 kmph and ker ker sound. pulled over and saw shield below engine was hitting the road.
now still if it gets loose whistle sound comes. i am planning to buy complete new fender and below engine shield either new (its available china made) or from half cut.
