Actually as you now, over there bumper protection is something to die for. Because you can't grab a person by his collar and beat him up on the street and then spend rest of your life as a proud badmaash like here.

This usually depicts a "better safe than sorry" situation.

^ so guys the front and rear cars remain as they were when I took picture this morning. Now went out and amazing view.. The Ford Edge which was inside in between is replaced by a Prius. Now you decide how it got out without touching..??? Remember Ford Edge is longer then Prius.

Scroll up to #83. I know the owner of the car. The rear hitch is for cycle basically but she had it to protect the bumper. By the way she don't have even a bicycle.

the thing on the rear is absurd

funny, bumpers are made to save the cars
and what people are going through to save bumpers
more cars/less parking space

The corolla is owned by a Chinese girl. My wife always think I am close friend with her :P and Now if she see my posts with her car pictures.. I am gone for six. Anyway The rear hitch thing is seen alot in summar times on cars and SUV's ( Review: Yakima Hold Up Hitch Mount Bike Rack - Bike Rumor ) as people go on weekends for bicycling. But ont his car its for purpose of protection.

People want to keep their car look good. damaged bumper repair at a good shop will easily cost $300 and up. you can do DIY as well but that looks horrible. So people spend few dollars to get bumper protectors.. (H)

In Manhattan average hourly rate for parking is $19 plus 20% tax. If you live in residential building in Manhattan and you have a car the average monthly rate is $450 plus tax in covered parking garage. You cannot just leave the car on the street so many street regulations.. Cleaning. Dedicated bus lanes and what not.

Even the below parking lots which are used mostly by visitors in the city also cost above $20 per hour plus tax. It depends also where u are parking. Some areas in mid town are in above $30/ hr. perfect bumpers and cars without scratches is very difficult.

I see it like the modified version of those steel bar desi bumbers on suzuki ravi and bolan here in PK. Ruin the looks of car and may be whole aero dynamic aspact, :-p well if these cheap cars have got that.
