I heard about caltex ...but my car is used to with shell helix 20w50....now this change would effect the car performance sound or in any other things?

you're using wrong oil, 20W50 is very heavy for your car. Use 10W40 or 10W30 as it has hydraulic tappets.

Well 80% mechanics don't know anything about oil's they just know thick oil and thin oil.

According to them thick oil is very good..... But reality is we should stick to manufacturer recommendations.
20W50 oil for this carby cultus with hydraulic tappets is like a slow poison.
In this kind of tappet arrangement thin oil's should be used like 10W40, 10W30, 5W30...

We have a cultus 2004 (car is with us from its day one) with mileage above 150k km and from 2012-13 we are using SGO Premium 10w40 api sg in it before that we used shell 5w30 oil don't remember about its details at that time.

If you are worried about engine noise then yes it may increase a little. About performance it would become a bit better.

Warm up time would decrease, Pick of the car and smoothness would be increased, Fuel average would increase, Engine life would increase.

There wouldn't be some huge improvement but these things will improve and car will perform better.

Well Caltex Havoline is also good you can give a try to Havoline formula 10W30 or the newly lauched Havoline 10W40.

After that i would rate SGO (suzuki genuine oil by total)
Then Caltex Havoline it didn't worked good for me that's why i have kept it in last..
but i have seen many people satisfied by this brand and it also has good repo in market.

Brother, i am using SGO premium 10w-40 oil in my cultus 2011 since last 15 days or so, i can tell you that it works fine and i am fully satisfied with it till now, the only thing to remember is that purchase that oil from a authorize dealer or somewhere where you have full trust that they give you 100 percent original product.
