The car was giving burnt kind of smoke (oil smell) both on startup and also all the time while driving.. And clouds of smoke, when you press the speed paddle..

Well the problem I earlier discussed has resulted in complete oil finished.. I changed the last OIL from Lahore (SHELL HELIX) and I went on a trip.. The next day I came back.. The mileage was about 400kms..

The strange thing happened was; When I suddenly checked the engine oil after the trip.. There wasn't even a drop left I am lucky that I checked it..

I hope that this thing directly indicates that RINGS are gone...! I have consulted with a Suzuki mechanic as well as a local mechanic.. They both said about changing RINGS...

What do you people think about the above matter?? And please it would be very helpful, if you can guide me of some good mechanic, from where I could get the RINGS and pressure plate changed in LAHORE??

Don't accept a mechanic's word that "the rings are shot" without some kind of proof. There are various ways of testing piston rings, including compression checks and cylinder leakdown tests, that can help pinpoint the cause.

you mentioned earlier white smoke:-!,and now the story is turning again.

First things first,whether it is actually burning oil (usually indicated by blue or blackish grey smoke) or leaking?oil leak burning from dripping onto the exhaust might be one reason of such a smoke even though the engine isn't actually burning it. but chances are still there.A "minor" leak from a worn-out drain plug or a bad gasket can result in the loss of a ''surprising'' amount of oil during high temperature and high acceleration.

you may opt for this Liqui-Moly Resealer Engine Oil Treatment - 300mL - Supercheap Auto Australia before going to open up the engine or you may give thicker lube a worthy try at this point.

well after doing all the maintenance.... my baleno came uphill on an elevation which is even hard to go downhill on.......... impressive. but on patrol..... 2nd gear rpm drop is also ok now....... on plain road it flies, uphill.... fairly satisfactory now...... so nw m happy with it........ thanx PW guys for helping me out..... otherwise no mechanic here in atd knows a damn about baleno .........

I just visited one more good mechanic.. Haven't shown him the car yet.. Told him about my whole problem.. He too suggested that this could be the problem of VALVE SEALS due to bad oil (ZIPEX)..

I will visit him tomorrow to get my car checked.. He said that he will check 2 or 3 things first (VALVE SEALS, TAPPETS and GASKET), before opening or entering in to the engine.. He also said that; if it isn't the problem of above 2 or 3 things, there is no need to get the RINGS done.. Simply get your engine replaced in 30 to 35k (give mine one along) and get sakoon mahol for next 5 to 6 years

I hope that I will get safe from getting the engine opened..! By the way; the current engine mileage is 1.80k...

What is your opinion? Or please for one last time; tell me the exact things I may get checked or replaced before getting in to RINGS...!

(P.s: I got my radiator cleaned up on my last trip, as the car was becoming so hot.. And I found that the radiator was almost full of dirt and the water wasn't getting circulated properly. But after radiator clean up the heat-up problem got almost solved)..

Baleno is an exellent car but only if its taken care of regularly..

some other tips

dont change the stock wheel diameter size or only go one level up like from R13 to R14 ,ie if R13 is stock size (stock size written on driver side of door)..
use genuine plugs from a very reputable shop.
when the mechanice tells you any thing abt coils dont agree with him till you check all other possibilities.. coils are quite expensive..

hmmmmmmmm...... thnx bro for useful tips....... i got 14 size wheels currently.......... got 1 coil changed already..... was broken with its rear end stuck in its slot....so had to change......

i didnt check stock......... but 14 fitting well.... it shows speed almost 5km less than actual........ like 135 i got on GPS n on meter 130 i had, but still no problem

you are mixing some of your observations like white smoke or black/grey smoke.
Remember white smoke indicates coolant burn(causes are like coolant is leaking and dripping onto the exhaust or coolant is leaking through the head gasket into combustion chamber) and in some cases over filled oil whereas engine valve stem seals and engine rings wear will result in blue/black/grey smoke.
i would like to suggest you check thoroughly.
step by step,check if any leakage under the car,like drain plug gasket and sump gasket,will clear you once that oil is leaking from somewhere or not,may it be a main oil seal leak as well,all this be done once, notice, if there is no leakage under the car of any sort,get your exhaust checked if any sign of liquid spill onto exhaust,this will clear you picture further.
keenly notice the smell and color of smoke in the next step,it will enlighten the source to address.

I am also getting same problem like ICANIDO is facing... when i start my car in early mornig for the first time in day it gives white smoke for 4 to 5 minutes and also gives some water through silencer tale.. but after 4 to 5 minutes white smoke stops and car gets to normal..
What could be the problem? it also reduces some water level in the radiator...

White smoke from the exhaust that will disappear after the vehicles engine has warmed up to it's normal operating temp.. This is a normal reaction called condensation.

White "smoke" in cold weather is just steam. When fuel ignites it produces quite a bit of heat and expands to several times the original size, creating high pressure on the piston. That pressure causes the piston to move down, turning the crankshaft which makes the car go. When the fuel ignites it causes a sudden and violent chemical reaction between the the oxygen in the air and fuel (chemical molecular chain of carbon and hydrogen) resulting in carbon dioxide and water vapor.
As the water vapor cools in the exhaust pipe it starts to form small droplets that are visible in the form of steam vapor. That's the white smoke. Once the exhaust pipe warms up sufficiently, the exhaust due to hot enough the water vapor does not deform into the droplets and dissipates quickly and you can not see the vapors.
On the other hand, if it's light blue or blue-grey smoke and it doesn't stop when the exhaust pipe warms up, that's oil vapors rather water vapors And a sign of bad rings or valve stem seals.
If white smoke persists for longer period of time,it must be some thing with coolant,like head gasket leaks cause the coolant to enter the combustion chamber or there might me excessive oil burning.

However these remdies will work best with petrol only..

for better performance i would suggest to o
1. Only use petrol
2. Use quality denso K20PRU plugs or best will be bosch 4 pin plugs spark plug gap of 1 mm
3. change air filter frequently
4 Use engine oil of 10w40 grade ( only if you are driving on petrol ). I found 20w50 the best specially in summers when AC and CNG rises the temp too much.
5. Use a cold air intake, downpipping, headers but be ready for:-$:-$

The only feasible and low budget solution is that only use petrol mixed with high octane..

otherwise my brotherly advise if you are running on CNG and its a family car.. CNG wont give you ant pick increase and pick will stay the same..or you will end up messing with your car settings.. you can only increase idle air flow of gas so that the car AC doesnt cause RPM drop..

thanx bro for useful tips...... i wanna drive on cng..... cuz the other hondas n toyotas do quite well even on cng.......... so cold air intake.... n bosch 4pin r not gonna help me that much gaining power??????? n a question that at how much RPM shud b the 1st gear shifted to second????? on 5000revs m almost at 40km/h........ is it ok???????? or shud it b done earlier?????? airflow gas..... ll increase it.....SOON.
