Tips for Baleno

@ skill sorry for the belated reply..
these are the brake pads.. I had a camera today so thought of capturing these brake pads and sharing these with you.. Once you asked abt a picture of TRW pads..

these are TRW, from Kohinoor autos..Rs 550
and the bottom ones are MK, so called Japan:S availible at every shop.. Rs 550
see the difference in writting, MK looks really cheap to TRW

The font with which TRW italy stamps their parts is just same,was it in blue color packing (trw one) sorry for my short knowledge on mk pads.

No it was the TRW was in red packing

yes i just researched and found the packing changed,before it was in dark blue color.
I am unable to understand if italian pads are such cheap(A) then i think may be from chines plant:-!

gaslane are master in cng issues but expensive as well,though spending once i lot better than spending intermittently(my personal view).
Mini Motors are good in over all but for cng issues i advise you gaslane opposite graveyard.

@ skill... yesterday i went to GAS LINE for casual inquiry only... one of their technicians said that the most experienced person for Baleno maintenance is on holiday today... I am posting some pics of that work shop.. tell me that i reach to the same work shop about which u was talking or is it the name infringement by them? is that the original GAS LINE?

I discussed and issue about An Unusual noise coming from the engine...some one here told me to press clutch while driving the car and then hear the sound... i followed this and by pressing the clutch all the sound comes to normal... No GOONJ after pressing the clutch... what could be the reason? Clutch plate bearing or whole Clutch plate is malfunctioning?

the problem is with the gear box either some bearing inside the gear box or some of the gear.
Pressing the clutch engages the clutch bearing to work,releasing the clutch engages the pressure plate and clutch plate to couple between engine and gear,transform the energy from engine to the gears.

I bought baleno 2005 jxr couple of days ago. It was giving backfire problem when i try to pick up the car on cng with AC switched on. If i switch off the AC the problem is gone. I had it checked by a mechanic and he said that air controller is missing so that is why it is having this problem. He then put on tape over the point where pipe from engine connects to air filter. After that car was running fine for last two days but today it started to give the same problem .

Can anyone tell me if it is teh problem with air controller? If yes then how much it will cost?

I also want to know about good baleno mechanic in Islamabad.

changing both of the things(plugs & coils) got my problem solved........
but there r many other factors and reasons of backFire........ skill & onlyfaith being the experts can guide u better........

brother plz check the following

1. Air filter condition and box whether tightly packed.
2. Mass air flow sensor (MAF) ie near the air filter box whether connected properly..
3. there is no air leakage in the whole of path from airfiltr box into the throttle body and from throttle body into engine..go few pages behind and @ skill has suggested a very simple and effective method for that.
4. the proper spark plug gap.. and the proper/ original spark plugs.
   5.Cam shaft sensor near the oil pump, whether the connection is proper or not.
5. Coils whether broken, or having a not passing the current properly, ( check with an Ohm meter).
6. Alternator/ Battery condition whether working properly.
7. Check that your emulator and advancer are working properly.
8. Also if have to use the car on cng you have to tape the inlet by abt half or even more. However if you have exellent tuners in your town go to them for computerized tunning.. Search the pakwheels for best computerized tuners in your town.. manual tuning is not that effective in baleno.
9. Also start the car in the morning on petrol drive for about a minimum of 5 KM on petrol and after that convert to auto mode or cng mode..
