Tips for Baleno

I have a 1.6 GTI. Recently it has started missing a bit on cng. Occasionally when i start it, Patakha marti hai... I thought only 1.3 baleno with coils had the patakha issue. When i take it to mechanic, he sets gas, works fine for a while then missing again and sometimes even shuts down in idle.....

Another thing. Are iridium plugs better or normal stock plugs? I have sets of both but cant decide which to use.

i had the problem only twice........once reason was damaged coil........ then changed it n still works perfectly..........the 2nd time it was broken wiring............ even switching to iridium plugs might get ur problem solved........also check ur air filterbox for air leakage........simpler to complex.....if u r sure about coils(if it has any coil system), check wiring, install ur iridium plugs or 2pin denso(which m using currently,but iridium r even better), check air filterbox, if nothing works go for sensors etc........MAF etc......dont know much about 1.6gti system as i got 1.3jxr... still trying to help......read previous threads,may provide u with much valuable info...... EXPERTS PLZ COMMENT.............

can anyone tell me how to fix the oil leak from crank sensor which is near the oil chamber. applied silicon several times no use. sensor is installed without any washer/o ring. where to find O ring in karachi??????

Check oil seal behind crank pulley and chamber's packing,they might be leaked.

Check oil seal behind crank pulley and chamber's packing,they might be leaked.

all seals have been replaced i.e timing seals, oil chamber but crank sensor is really testing me :mad:

i faced miss fires issue only once since purchase about 4 years and that was due to crank sensor only. haven't changed any plugs,coils, wires etc. i never wash my engine.

the miss fires are mainly due to faulty crank sensor. remove it wash it with petrol and place it back.
or it can be due to air filter box sucking air from its joints. you can test it by placing tissue paper at joints of air filter box to identify the leakage. firmly pack the air filter box.

I have never replaced coils etc but changed plugs and wires as a part of regular maintenance.

I have limited knowledge but can share you my experience.
U can judge an engine by its smooth sound, acceleration, smoke from silencer & mileage. also check oil leaks.
if there will be any backfire it can be clearly identified by phataka sound from silencer when you drive. make sure no jugar has been done on airfilter box.

when rings are worn out the engine oil burns making blue smoke.

Hi all..i own a baleno JXL 2002 for the last 14 months and was running perfectly till today.. i felt a loss of pick while driving on the GT road from jhelum to Pindi...today while driving to Pir Sohawa, i felt a strong smell coming from the engine compartment while climbing the road..immediately discontinued and headed back to pindi, while the smell faded away gradually.. there was a mark difference in pick of the car..i could feel n hear some CHIK CHIK kind a sound from the engine once engaging the clutch..i knw its a clear Clutch plate issue..just wana know what it would cost me to change/replace the clutch kit and what brand should i get n from where..waiting for a quick response... Happy Driving to All!!!

dont worry too much and wait until clutch plate actually finishes its life.On hills smell of clutch and brake lining is common,upon cooling down they start working again normally and that's possible they do not make smell again for longer period of time like years.So relax,

But the problem is still there... Now my car is switching off even more then before. So i am totally fedup and don't know what to do. I wasted my complete 2 days because of this and problem has even gotten worse

Now i am not sure what to do... which workshop to visit... I am thinking of now going for new parts and Visiting any Suzuki workshop... What you people suggest specially skill and onlyfaith?

have you any experience to buy a 100% ok throttle body or have you bought the couple of tb's by believing the junkies?
i am not sure unless i see your own tb,there's a butterfly (coin like brass piece) which get damage with prolonged running on cng and leaves gaps around it because of which air fuel ratio gets upset and some extreme cases where people do not service it on time it gets stuck with carbon deposits inside it due to more cng usage resulting in uneven rpm mostly sticks at higher rpm like you mentioned afore ''2k rpm'' .
New butterfly is not available any where even at 3s,this can be made at lathe and can be replaced with older one,it costs about 500 rs.
