Tips for Baleno

It wasn't the spark plug. It was the spark plug fitting according to him but i figure you are right. The head has to be disassembled anyway. But what would be other effects in this case. I have recently come in possession of this car and I would certainly like to get a few general tips regarding an overall inspection. What are the things that need to be seen under the hood as well as under the car? Any particular spots to be extra cautious about.

wait for few moments, skill would be coming...not so much complicated.. just baleno has this inherent back fire issue...for this you have to keep your air filter box tightly close, keep the air filter and spark plugs clean (or replace if necessary)...more over throttle body is a major cause of serveral issues in car like poor pick, non smooth idling, RPM drop while AC is on or brakes are applied, bad fuel economy and back firing off course... and the remedy to all these issues is very simple, just keep the throttle body clean get it serviced periodically and change the butterfly of throttle body if it worn out

hey baleno master i have a car which is powered by a G15 and i need tips as my car is bogging alot when i accelerate hard. i have gotten the fuel pump checked and the plug wires including plugs. wat do u think is wrong????

but am very much satisfied with its performance n cng consumption
just things which i miss it in liana when compare to baleno is pick brakes n grip
although this car has good too but us ki to bat hi kuch aur thi yar
n yes the max mileage i got in these days was 238 kms on long without ac
while she is giving 170 + in local with little bit ac easily yar
tonight (tuesday) i got cylinders full in 562 n now this time the odo show 124 kms with ac on almost 20 km mean no ac with 120 bar gas still lefted (needle shows):D:D:D:D

bro i ve read in your posts that you use zic mineral oil! how many Kms ve your car done?which oil do you use. is it zic hiflo or zic A? cause i think zic A is mixed oil meaning mineral+synthetic. do you recommend zic A for my car already over 120K on odo.

i recommend you Havoline Formula 10W30...its best for tough winter conditions...it is less viscus oil so it provide less resistance to pistons in early morning start...in summer u can use any 20W50 of TOTAL..i advice u and insist you to use mineral oil only. don't go for synthetic. previously i was using TOTAL and Guard oil. now planning for Havoline...engine has been recently overhauled you can say ODO shows 10000 km..

i have a lot of experience of using and maintaining baleno all types of balenos.its really a marvelous car of suzuki.but little diffferent to maintain from other cars.if u have some problems discuss with me on this forum.B-)

yar it is ff cng with standard constant size as all liana having ff cng as i hv not installed 3rd cylinder lolz it has just 2cylinderz ff
i think ground clearence is pretty good no serious issues;)

Baleno is a great car altogether. Spares are abundantly available for Baleno, in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi. Im not sure about Peshawar.

I just upgraded my 1999 Baleno with power windows, retractable power mirrors, power locks, rpm meter, fog lights, bumpers (All original Baleno).

So go ahead and buy a Baleno and enjoy the ride. Do visit these forums for lots of tweaks and info which is useful.

hi Baleno Master,

My baleno 2002 JXR's power steering is giving engine overload sound while turning. as soon as i stop turning the steering, sound vanishes. To be more precise, it feels as if the pwr steering is giving the load to engine more than normal. is there some kind of filter which is blocked and retricting the flow of fluid or some other thing......
Kindly advise me on the problem.....

• first thing is that there is no difference b/w red and green coolent...
• second important thing is that coolent does not mean that it keeps that engine cool more than any thing else...in fact water is much more efficient for the engine cooling purpose, the main reason for advising coolent use in radiator is the Corrosion factor, this coolent is actually a anti corrosion mixture that prevent rusting of radiator. the other reason to use a coolent is explained in point 3
• third thing is that there is an article in chemistry books which tells us that adding salt or anything in water will ELEVATE its boiling point and DECREASE it freezing point...so the point is that a good coolent will not start boiling and evaporating at 100 C (like water), it shall be beyond 100 C AND similarly a coolent will not freeze at 0 C (like water) it shall be less than this...
  so the conclusion is coolent is best for summer as well as winter:)

today completed 800 km on caltex havoline. its working OK. next i wanna put petromin ultra 7, heard its a good oil. hows that.
