I went to a Honda Dealership today to book a city. In the process, the salesman told me about another "token gesture" on part of honda which I think is going unadvertised. I was told that unlike the past practice, where a buyer has to pay the price of vehicle prevailing at the time of delivery, honda is currently offering a price lock-in i.e. once you have booked your order, you will not have to pay extra if the company increases car prices before the time of delivery (not applicable to govt taxes though).
IF correct (I am getting this verified from the company), I think this is also a fair and much appreciated practice by honda. I got stung by this three years ago when I got a corolla, and ended-up paying extra becoz of price increase during the waiting period.
And Yes, you are entitled to interest payment on your deposit if the delivery takes more than 60 days.
