BBC News - Jeremy Clarkson alludes to 'BBC sacking' at charity event

A video has emerged of Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson saying he has been "sacked" by the BBC.
The host was speaking at a charity event in London, where he was auctioning what he described as his "last lap" on the Top Gear race track.

"I don't know when I did my last ever lap of the track before the BBC sacked me," he said.

After watching this video I think it's end of the road for ckarkson in BBC.
To be honest if he'd punched his producer on some other channel,he'd still be sacked.

BBC tolerated everything he did on screen but this was a assault and its a sackable offence in any job and for everyone.
It is the case with divided opinions but imo it's a right decision,physical violence can never go unpunished.

Touched by the reaction of May & Richard. Hope they go and make top gear of their own. BBC, by the looks of it, want to continue top gear. Just saw in the interweb about a suggestion of Chris Evans as a replacement for Clarkson. Flipping kidding us ?
