ملک میں بڑھتے درجہ حرارت کی وجہ سے گرمی کی شدت میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے۔ یہ گرمی آپ اور آپ کی کار کو متاثر کرتی ہے، خاص طور پر اگر آپکی کار یہ پرانی ہے۔ اس دوران آپکی کار کا ٹمپریچر گیج مسلسل اوپر نظر آئے گا، جس سے یہ ظاہر ہوتا ہے کہ انجن گرم ہو رہا ہے۔ اگر آپ کسی طویل سفر پر جا رہے ہیں تو یہ مسئلہ آپ کیلئے سنگین ہو سکتا ہے۔ اگر کسی صورت میں آپ کی گاڑی کا انجن زیادہ گرم ہو جائے تو ذیل میں دی گئی تجاویز پر عمل کریں۔ جو اس صورتحال میں آپ کے لیے مددگار ثابت ہوں گی۔

انجن کو فوری طور پر بند نہ کریں

انجن زیادہ گرم ہونے کی صورت میں ہم میں سے اکثر لوگ فوری طور پر گاڑی کو بند کر دیتے ہیں۔ ہمارا مشورہ ہے کہ ہر گز ایسا نہ کریں۔ بس سڑک کے کنارے گاڑی کھڑی کریں، انجن کو آن رکھیں اور اسے ٹھنڈا ہونے دیں۔ پھر بونٹ کھولیں اور یقینی بنائیں کہ انجن اتنا گرم نہیں ہے۔ بصورت دیگر، آپ کو نقصان پہنچ سکتا ہے۔

انجن کا درجہ حرارت چیک کرنے کے لیے ہوز پائپ کو دبائیں؛ اگر یہ کافی ٹھنڈا ہے، تو پائپ کو آسانی سے دبایا جائے گا۔ اس کے برعکس اگر پائپ کو دبانا مشکل ہے تو اس کا مطلب ہے کہ پائپ پر پریشر دباؤ ہے۔ ایسی صورت میں ریڈی ایٹر کو کھولنا کافی خطرناک ہو سکتا ہے۔

تولیہ استعمال کریں

اپنے جسم اور چہرے کو گرم پانی سے بچانے کے لیے ریڈی ایٹر کیپ پر تولیہ رکھیں۔ پھر تولیہ پر پانی ڈالیں کیونکہ یہ ریڈی ایٹر کو ٹھنڈا کر دے گا۔ ریڈی ایٹر کیپ کو آہستہ آہستہ کھولیں۔

ریڈی ایٹر میں پانی ڈالیں

ریڈی ایٹر میں احتیاط سے پانی ڈالیں اور اس وقت تک پانی ڈالتے رہیں کہ جب تک یہ بھر نہ جائے۔ اس کے علاوہ ریزروائر کو چیک کریں اور نشان تک بھریں. اب کیپ کو دوبارہ لگائیں اور اسے لاک کریں۔

ہمیں امید ہے کہ یہ تجاویز آپ کے لیے انجن کے زیادہ گرم ہونے کے مسئلے سے نمٹنے میں مددگار ثابت ہوں گی۔

this is the first time i've read that..

if the engine is firing, pistons are running, (presumably the water leaked and engine became hot) how come keeping the engine running (even if the car is parked) would make it cool down and would not get the engine seized ?

on the contrary, when the engine overheats, what i've read is stop the engine and let it cool down to a normal temperature, then add water to it after it cools down while the engine is off.

I don't know the right answer, but it kinda makes sense - since the water pump needs to keep the coolant flowing through the engine and radiator to cool it down.

only if there is water, usually engine heats up when there is no water left in the engine block to cool it down. and without water if the pistons keep moving, and engine keeps firing, it will only create more heat, and eventually engine seizure .. no ?

How about safely remove radiator cap and fill it up with water/coolant while keeping the engine at idle? Then it would make sense.. i dont know, i am also the one whose knee jerk reaction would be to shut engine off

okay, two things:

1) whenever engine is hot, never remove the radiator cap, it's not worth the risk ...the boiling water can literally burn anything it touches, your hands face, etc...

2) and the chances that you have a water hose near you when your car heats up are less than 2% : ) 98 percent of the time it would heat up in the middle of the road (not at one's house when the car is parked) so even if you have water bottle in the car it would not be enough to waste on a hot engine because as soon as cold water touches a hot running engine, a large amount of it would evaporate, and the remaining amount that would go in the radiator could cause the engine block to crack due to the sudden change in temperature.

therefore, in my opinion, the best way is to shut the engine off, let it cool down to normal temperature, then pour water inside the radiator.

i am not sure how can an engine while running be cooled down ? as it would continuously produce heat and there's excessive chance of engine seizure or blown head gasket ..

Turn it off and then switch the ignition back to on position (don't start the car) so radiator fan will turn on (till car is heated above to required temperature)
