I was sleeping on the roof on charpai at my friend's relative and rain started at around 7am there on sunday. Weather was nice and bearable, it's very hot in karachi though. At night when we were returning by train it was very cold throughout punjab region that I had to wear all my 3 T-shirts, socks and cap.
On first night we stayed in Ambassador Hotel. They charged us 7,500 rupees that night from like 3am to the morning 12am. The room was not good at all, we had no other choice. Holiday inn was 10,000 per night.
