my 1st thread at pw: Tour de saif-ul-mulook lake / jhalkhad / lulusar lake / shogran / balakot (from 06-10-2012 to 16-10-2012) (karachites in naran valley)
{with my half better & kids (ashir+azfar) ages 5 & 4 years respectively}
06/x/12 sat. @12noon - karachi to islamabad by air, plane took off @12:50pm (reserved seats in airblue 2days before just for rs.5,550/- each
(got 90% online-discount on base fair) (very attractive rates offered only by airblue in off-season).
Landed at isb @2:45pm, checked out @3pm. Move towards daewoo terminal (pindi). (already had reserved seats for abbotabad /
mansehra)
started journey towards abbotabad @4:20pm (exact timing of departure) (ticket: Pindi to abbotabad rs.380/- per seat)
reached abbotabad @7:10pm (around 35 mins. Late due to light rain on the way) (actual time of their arrival was 6:35pm)
(i had the aim to reach kewai on same day, and i achieved my target, but it was very difficult, not for me, for my wife and kids,
they were tired terribly)
then immediately move thru shuttle for mansehra and reached there @7:45pm. (ticket rs.35/- per seat-very nominal chgs)
already had arrangement of bolan to travel upto kewai. Left mansehra @8pm, crossed balakot aroudn @9pm and reached
kewai @9:30pm. (on the way, as advised by 'shahbazzain', i tried to observe noise of river kunhar, but failed due to heavy windy
air, entire zig zag roads, closed mirros of bolan and v were very much tired, almost sleeping)
stayed at a.rehman's house, which is at one of the edges of mountain (we had to walked about half km, due to non-availability of
any jeep at night).
{a.rehman, his 2 brothers & 2 cousins are drivers/watchmen at my cousin's showroom(lifestyle collection at clifton,karachi/his
residence at d.h.a., and i have very good terms with all of them).
I had earlier visited kewai in 2004 also with 1 of my colleagues and had great time there.
