Flight from islamabad to gilgit cost rs. 6400 per person, from skardu to islamabad rs. 7500 per person but you have to book flights around one month early.

I stayed one night in hunza for 2500 one night for gilgit 3000 and two night's in skardu for 3500 all rooms were clean with fresh food and family environment.

Whenever you go to a hotel with family please check that there is no coaster of tour operators in parking because they make hotel place crowded.

Its pity to say that our country men don't like to travel in Pakistan, they waste money by travelling to very ordinary crowded places like srilanka, thiland, malysia, Singapore, Dubai etc. in which the only attraction is beaches and sea.

Gilgit Baltistan has great sites, awesome weather, friendly people and delicious fruits. It doesn't give only one thing that is very important to Pakistanis. That you don't get 'chaap of foreign travel' on your face.

I went by air it's one hour flight from islamabad to gilgit or skardu only issue is that flights are often cancelled due to bad weather but pia people are cooperative they send you next day and in such case if you are not from pindi islamabad then you have to stay in hotel.

If you go by car then you would have to stay at naran for a day and reach next day so ladies and kids would get tired due to long travelling.

I have shared pros and cons of by road and by air travel now its upto you to decide according to budget. Please never plan with tour operators there should be privacy when you go out with family.

Completely agreed, as travelling via road without break can hurt men's stamina too
